We talk a lot about inspiring our youth to dream, but sometimes the best inspiration is simply showing up and supporting them.

Five years ago, my two boys started opening Pokémon packs because they loved the hobby. A year ago, they became vendors. Now, they are taking another big step by hosting their first card show with Angelo Santos, AKA Mico Pops and Cards!

Sunday, October 18th
9 AM to 3 PM
American Legion Post 109
1610 Old Sulphur Spring Road
Arbutus, MD 21227

Expect tons of vendors, Pokémon, collectibles, raffles, food and plenty of family fun!

But this is about more than cards. It’s about showing two young entrepreneurs that their dreams matter and that their community believes in them.

Come out. Bring the family. Share the flyer. Help us make October 18th an amazing day for these two young entrepreneurs!

Sometimes inspiring our youth simply means showing up.

Since 2006, the PMJ Foundation’s Career Awareness Program has been positively impacting young people by connecting them with professionals who share their experiences, knowledge and career journeys.

Through hands-on workshops, students have the opportunity to learn about different careers, ask questions and gain a better understanding of the possibilities available to them as they think about their futures.

If you’re a professional interested in inspiring young people and sharing your career journey with students, we would love to hear from you.

I’m forever grateful for every single person who has supported the PMJ Foundation and our efforts to make a difference in the lives of low income families here in Baltimore.

It all started with me working at WMAR-2 News Baltimore, covering stories night in and night out and seeing firsthand the struggles that so many families were facing. Those experiences stayed with me and became part of the reason I started the PMJ Foundation.

With your support, for almost 25 years we’ve been able to positively impact our community, support families, help children, and shine a positive light wherever we can.

We continue to grow. We continue to reach more families. And most importantly, we continue to believe that when we come together, we can make a difference.

Thank you for believing in the mission and being part of this journey.

Keep smiling, my friends. Keep shining. And most importantly, keep giving back.

My mother had a story to share.

Her story is one of survival, love and hope. It is the story of two young girls who were adopted by an elderly couple in a poor farming community in South Carolina. Despite the challenges they faced, they were given something that changed their lives forever: love.

Through her book, A Mother’s Love, we will continue to spread that love by sharing her story with adoption and foster care agencies and with communities connected to the places where she lived.

This book is more than just a story. It is a reminder of the power of love, the strength of family and the hope that can come from someone simply choosing to care.

If you would like to support this project and read my mother’s story, you can click the link below. The book is available on Amazon, or you can message me directly if you would like a copy.

Thank you for helping us continue to share her story and spread her message of love.

The power of a positive message can stay with a child for a lifetime.

That’s why we created our Positive Vibes books for kids.

Every child deserves to hear words that remind them they are loved, valued, capable, and worthy of believing in themselves. Sometimes, one simple affirmation can be the encouragement a child needs to keep going.

Our hope is that these books become more than something children read. We want them to become reminders they can carry with them every day.

Positive words. Positive thoughts. Positive actions. Positive lives.

That’s the power of Positive Vibes.

You guys did it!

A huge thank you to all of our community partners, volunteers, members, donors, and supporters who helped make the PMJ Foundation’s Annual Back to School Campaign a tremendous success.

Because of YOU, we were able to support more than 1,500 students this year and help make sure young people in our communities were ready to start the school year strong.

But the momentum doesn’t stop here. Our Career Awareness After School Program is gearing up to launch at several schools throughout the Baltimore region, giving young people the opportunity to explore different careers, meet professionals, and learn about possibilities for their future.

Visit pmjfoundation.org to learn more about our programs and ongoing efforts. Consider becoming a sponsor or making a contribution to help us continue positively impacting Baltimore families and communities.

Thank you for believing in the work and for helping us make a difference.

💙 THIS IS WHAT IT’S ALL ABOUT! 🎒📚

My friends, there is nothing better than seeing the smiles on kids’ faces as they get ready to head back to school! ❤️

The PMJ Foundation’s Annual Back to School Drive was another incredible success, and it happened because of YOU!

We want to give a HUGE THANK YOU to all of our amazing sponsors, everyone who donated school supplies or made a financial contribution, and all of the incredible volunteers who picked up, sorted, packed, and helped distribute donations. This is all about you and the difference you continue to make in the lives of our young people.

Yesterday at Lansdowne Elementary School, more than 400 children received school supplies to help them start the new school year with confidence and excitement. 🎒✏️📓

And guess what? WE’RE JUST GETTING STARTED! 🙌

There are still thousands of school supplies that will be distributed throughout the community this weekend as we work to make sure even more children have what they need when they walk through those school doors on Monday.

For more than 20 years, the PMJ Foundation has been working to make a difference in communities throughout the Baltimore and Washington, DC area. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who continues to believe in our mission and helps us turn compassion into action.

Visit pmjfoundation.org to learn more about the PMJ Foundation and all of the amazing work we’re doing in our communities.

Keep being amazing. Keep giving. Keep making a difference. 💙
