💜✨ New School. New Faces. New Opportunities to Create Game Changers! ✨💜

What a wonderful morning at West Hardin Middle School as we continue our very first year of Girls United at this school! 💜

We were thrilled to welcome Kristi Wright with Burress Family McDonald’s and Tracey Cox with Bluegrass Land Title, who spent the morning sharing some valuable life lessons with our young ladies.

Our conversations focused on the importance of kindness and learning to see the bigger picture rather than allowing one small moment, situation, or challenge to define everything around us. Such an important reminder, not just for our girls, but for all of us!

As we begin this new partnership with West Hardin Middle School, we’re excited to get to know these young ladies, build meaningful relationships, and watch them grow into confident, compassionate, and empowered young women.

💜✨ Four years at Bluegrass Middle School… and it just keeps getting better! ✨💜

This week, we officially kicked off our fourth year of Girls United at Bluegrass Middle School, and we had a fantastic morning with 26 young ladies!

One of the best parts was seeing familiar faces from the past few years alongside so many new faces joining us for the first time. There’s something pretty special about watching girls choose to come back year after year while welcoming a new group into the Girls United sisterhood. 💜

For our first session, we kept things fun and focused on connection. The girls decorated their journals, spent time getting to know one another with our Girls United conversation cards, shared plenty of laughs, and started building the relationships that will carry us through the year.

We have so much planned around confidence, leadership, communication, personal growth, and preparing these young ladies for their futures, and after spending the morning with this group, we are even more excited about the year ahead!

Here’s to Year FOUR at Bluegrass Middle School and another year of creating Game Changers! 💜💛

What if just one hour of your time could help a young girl see herself differently for the rest of her life?

Girls United is growing, and as we begin our fifth year of empowering girls throughout Hardin County, we need caring community members who are willing to show up, share their gifts, and help us continue building something truly meaningful.

This year, Girls United will serve girls in five local schools through sessions focused on confidence, leadership, resilience, healthy relationships, financial literacy, career exploration, mental wellness, and so much more.

You do not have to commit to every meeting or attend every event to make a difference.

We are looking for:

❤️ Community leaders and professionals to present during a school session

❤️ Volunteers to assist with activities and encourage our girls

❤️ Planning committee members who can help shape our programs and events

❤️ Individuals willing to help with fundraising, special events, and work behind the scenes

❤️ Positive role models who simply believe every girl deserves to feel seen, supported, and capable of becoming a game changer

Your experience could inspire her.

Your encouragement could strengthen her confidence.

Your presence could remind her that her dreams are possible.

There is a place for you in this mission, whether you can give one hour, share one skill, support one event, or walk alongside us throughout the school year.

Girls United has spent five years planting seeds of confidence and possibility. Now we are looking for more amazing people to help those seeds grow.

Last year, our girls showed us what happens when confidence steps into the spotlight. This year, they are coming back even brighter. 🌟

SAVE THE DATE!

The second annual Ignite the Shero Within event is happening on Thursday, November 5, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

We are already preparing for another unforgettable evening featuring our Girls United fashion show and gamechangers panel. It is going to be even bigger and better than last year, if you can believe it!

This event gives our girls an opportunity to express themselves, share their voices, build confidence, and experience what it feels like to be celebrated by their community.

Would you like to help us bring this special evening to life?

Girls United will be at the Volunteer Expo during the Hardin County Chamber of Commerce luncheon on September 9. Stop by our booth to learn more about Girls United, the five schools we are serving this year, and the many ways you can become involved.

We will be signing up planning committee members, session presenters, event volunteers, and community members who want to help encourage and empower our girls.

Next Tuesday, we’re bringing our community together to celebrate the incredible people who have helped make Girls United what it is today AND to welcome new faces who want to be part of where we’re going next.
