💜 What is Girls United? 💜

Girls United is a local nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering young women through confidence-building, leadership development, mentorship, and meaningful connections.

Throughout the school year, we partner with local schools to provide programs that help girls build self-esteem, develop leadership skills, strengthen friendships, learn from community leaders, and discover the confidence to become the best version of themselves.

We believe every girl deserves:

✨ As we wrap up another successful Girls United school year, our hearts are full of gratitude for the girls, volunteers, presenters, schools, and community partners who made this year so special. 💜

While we're celebrating the incredible growth we've seen in our girls, we're already looking ahead and planning for an even bigger impact next year.

✨ Yesterday we wrapped up our SECOND year of Girls United at Radcliff Elementary School and what a special day it was! ✨

We had so much fun celebrating these amazing girls and reflecting on all they’ve learned throughout the school year.

Each girl received a completion certificate, but more importantly, we spent time talking about growth, confidence, friendships, and the lessons they’ll carry with them beyond Girls United. 💕

One of my favorite parts of the day was slowing down and having meaningful conversations using our Girls United conversation cards. Sometimes the most powerful moments happen in simple conversations when girls feel heard, supported, and encouraged.

Watching these young ladies grow, open up, and build confidence throughout the year has been such a blessing.

We are so proud of every single one of you and hope you carry your confidence, kindness, and courage with you all summer long ☀️

✨ Another amazing Girls United session at Bluegrass Middle School ✨

A huge thank you to the Hardin County Extension Office for spending time with our girls and creating such a fun, engaging, and meaningful experience!

One of the things we love most about Girls United is exposing these young ladies to different leaders, organizations, and opportunities throughout our community while helping them build confidence, leadership skills, and stronger connections with one another 💕

There was so much laughter, conversation, and learning packed into this session and that is exactly why Girls United exists.

These girls continue to inspire us every single month, and we are so proud of the confidence and growth we’re seeing in them ✨

✨ Today we wrapped up another incredible year of Girls United at Bluegrass Middle School ✨

A huge thank you to Stephanie and Cassie from the Hardin County Clerk’s Office for leading such a meaningful session about how both positive and negative thoughts can affect our daily lives, our confidence, and the way we see ourselves.

The girls were engaged, thoughtful, and truly reflective throughout the conversation and it was the perfect way to close out the school year together 💕

Today, the girls also received their Girls United completion certificates, and watching them celebrate themselves and each other was such a special moment.

To all of these amazing young ladies:
We hope you have the BEST summer filled with joy, growth, confidence, and fun ☀️

And to our girls heading into high school next year…
Walk into this next chapter carrying the confidence, strength, and self-worth that we hope Girls United helped plant inside of you. Never forget:

We’re looking for a special volunteer 💕

Girls United is in need of someone to facilitate a session on Friday, May 15th at 1:00 PM at Radcliff Elementary School.

If there’s a topic you’re passionate about and would love to share with these young ladies, confidence, friendships, goals, self-worth, life lessons… we would love to have you.

This is such a powerful way to make a real impact, simply by showing up and being willing to pour into the next generation.

What an incredible time at our most recent Girls United financial literacy session! 💰✨

This group brought all the energy, especially when the play money came out! We had to keep reminding them… “y’all, this is NOT real money!” 😂

We kicked things off with a fun and thought-provoking game of “Would You Rather”:
• Dream vacation ✈️ or dream home 🏡
• Famous but broke 😬 or anonymously rich 💼
• Pay off your house or invest 📈
• Best price or best quality

The conversations were powerful and really got them thinking about their future decisions.

From there, we dove into real-life budgeting, talking about the bills and responsibilities that come with independence. The highlight? Our interactive money game:
🟢 Green chip = earn money
🔴 Red chip = pay a bill, buy food, or handle a real-life expense

Let’s just say… reality hit QUICK for a few of them! 😅 But they stayed engaged, asked great questions, and leaned into the learning.

A special thank you to Terry Owens for stepping in as our “banker”, disbursing funds when the girls earned it and collecting when those bills came due. You helped make the experience real and impactful!

Grateful for every opportunity to pour into the next generation. This is how we change mindsets and build futures. 💚
