What if just one hour of your time could help a young girl see herself differently for the rest of her life?

Girls United is growing, and as we begin our fifth year of empowering girls throughout Hardin County, we need caring community members who are willing to show up, share their gifts, and help us continue building something truly meaningful.

This year, Girls United will serve girls in five local schools through sessions focused on confidence, leadership, resilience, healthy relationships, financial literacy, career exploration, mental wellness, and so much more.

You do not have to commit to every meeting or attend every event to make a difference.

We are looking for:

❤️ Community leaders and professionals to present during a school session

❤️ Volunteers to assist with activities and encourage our girls

❤️ Planning committee members who can help shape our programs and events

❤️ Individuals willing to help with fundraising, special events, and work behind the scenes

❤️ Positive role models who simply believe every girl deserves to feel seen, supported, and capable of becoming a game changer

Your experience could inspire her.

Your encouragement could strengthen her confidence.

Your presence could remind her that her dreams are possible.

There is a place for you in this mission, whether you can give one hour, share one skill, support one event, or walk alongside us throughout the school year.

Girls United has spent five years planting seeds of confidence and possibility. Now we are looking for more amazing people to help those seeds grow.

Last year, our girls showed us what happens when confidence steps into the spotlight. This year, they are coming back even brighter. 🌟

SAVE THE DATE!

The second annual Ignite the Shero Within event is happening on Thursday, November 5, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

We are already preparing for another unforgettable evening featuring our Girls United fashion show and gamechangers panel. It is going to be even bigger and better than last year, if you can believe it!

This event gives our girls an opportunity to express themselves, share their voices, build confidence, and experience what it feels like to be celebrated by their community.

Would you like to help us bring this special evening to life?

Girls United will be at the Volunteer Expo during the Hardin County Chamber of Commerce luncheon on September 9. Stop by our booth to learn more about Girls United, the five schools we are serving this year, and the many ways you can become involved.

We will be signing up planning committee members, session presenters, event volunteers, and community members who want to help encourage and empower our girls.

We are incredibly honored to have our five-year journey featured in the newspaper. What began as a vision in 2021 has grown into something bigger than we could have imagined, thanks to the young women we serve and the incredible community that continues to believe in our mission.

Next Tuesday, we’re bringing our community together to celebrate the incredible people who have helped make Girls United what it is today AND to welcome new faces who want to be part of where we’re going next.

Whether you’ve volunteered with us before, supported us from the sidelines, or you’ve been thinking, “I would love to get involved, I just don’t know how,” this night is for you.

Girls United is preparing for another incredible school year, and we are excited to welcome community members who would like to share their knowledge, experience, and encouragement with our girls.

Our latest newsletter includes the participating schools, session dates, and topics planned for the upcoming year. Please take a look and let me know if there is a topic you would be interested in signing up to present or support.

We are also hosting a Volunteer Appreciation and Recruitment Reception on August 18 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at 790 N. Dixie Highway in Elizabethtown.

Whether you have volunteered with us before or would simply like to learn more about getting involved, we would love to see you there.
