These two girls are JUST THE SWEETEST!!! So good and smart. Already retrained to go outside again and will also go on wee wee pads. They are so good around other dogs (as seen in the video).
Foxy and Winnie are going to make someone a very lucky person!

See below and in our previous post for more photos and video and bio on them. If you are interested in adopting Foxy & Winnie, please fill out an application at this link:

Foxy (Left) and Winnie (Right) are Bichon/Pom Mixes and littermates. They are 1.5 year old sisters and need a new home.

The person who had them worked full time and gated them all day in a small space (NO life for these little sweeties!) We are looking to find them a home where they can have more interaction and stimulation and not be confined all day while everyone is out at work or school. Someone that works from home, stay at home mom or dad or even works part time is ideal.

They are both VERY Sweet and loving. They would be good in a home with other dogs. They are good with kids, however we prefer homes where the kids are at least 6 or older. (We do not know how they will react to cats or other small pets)

Foxy is more outgoing and loves to play. Winnie is more laid back and a bit shy at first and follows Foxy's lead. We prefer to get them a home together if possible, as they have been together their entire 1.5 year life and Winnie really relies on Foxy.

Both are up to date on vaccines and will just need boosters when they come due. They both need to be spayed and in the interest of getting them into their new home(s) quickly, we can pay for the new adopter to have them spayed either at our vet or their own and we will pay for everything.

If you are interested in adopting Foxy & Winnie, please fill out an application at this link:

If you have already filled out our application, please EMAIL me with the email you used in your app and I will look it up.

Foxy & Winnie are being fostered for a short time in Bergen County NJ. Applicant's should live within 3 hours drive of north Jersey and be willing to drive to pick them up or meet a reasonable distance (within an hour of there). Applicant will be required to fill out our adoption application, have a virtual or in person home check, reference checks with your vet & groomer and if approved sign our adoption agreement and give an adoption donation.

We prefer to get them a home together if possible, as they have been together their entire 1.5 year life... but it is not an absolute necessity and we are willing to separate if we can't find a home together.

We waited a few weeks to post this, as not to jinx it after all the bouncing around she did in the past 6 months... but it looks like Angel has a NEW Daddy! She was adopted on 2/6 and has been with him for 2 weeks now. She is settling just wonderfully! She loves getting petted and rolls over for belly rubs and her new daddy is just over the moon in love with her. She is in an ideal home with 2 adults, her daddy and his adult son. We wish Angel a wonderful life being the center of attention and getting lots of treats, toys and belly rubs!

Sharing info on this devastating fire that broke out at another local rescue in Sussex County NJ One Step Closer Animal Rescue OSCAR . 6 dogs were killed in the fire, one was burned but is recovering in the hospital and doing well... the rest got out (there were over 40 dogs in the kennels when the fire broke out) ...but in the haste to save them some of the dogs broke free and ran into the woods and they are searching for them now.

UPDATE!
Due to the fact that the building is a total loss. They are only taking monetary donations right now … here is the link to the donation page on their website if you can help: http://www.oscaranimalrescue.org/oscar-1-donate.html

Angel is a sweet, people-loving senior girl with a young spirit! Friendly, smart, quiet (Unless she see food she wants LOL). She enjoys walks, yard sniffing, toys, and being near her humans. Although she loves being around people... she is not a "cuddle bug" She prefers to follow you around or come up to you when she is looking for pets or attention. She gets along with other dogs but doesn’t interact much ... basically ignores them but is absolutely fine around them. She is a healthy senior and has been vet checked. She is spayed and UTD on vaccines and weights 17 lbs.

Angel likely lived a pampered life and may beg or bark for table food; She responds well to consistent, gentle guidance. Overall, she listens, though she can be a bit stubborn.

Quirks to note:
• Toy/Food possessive: She gets anxious and may growl you approach her toys or food while she’s eating or chewing on a toy. She can also (in the beginning) growl or nip if you try to take something away from her or pick something up too quickly that is near her startling her. Best for the first month or so to go slow till she is confident that you mean her no harm.

• She doesn’t like being picked up from the ground without warning: She growls as a warning if lifted in a way she dislikes, but is okay being helped on her terms (quick scoops, jumping into car or onto couch with assistance when she wants it).

Angel may have a past reason for her dislike of being lifted, but with understanding and respect of her boundaries, she is a loving, happy companion with lots of love to give. She’s truly a wonderful girl ready to bond with her forever people if you give her the time!

We are looking for a person or family of adults only that have dog experience and that can be a STRONG PACK LEADER for her. Someone that is not put off by her occasional growl and that wants to adopt her to save her and give her a furever home.

Won’t you give this little senior girl a home to live out her golden years with comfort and companionship.

Thank you to Karen Graeber for her generous donation to our medical fund in Memory of her dear MOLLY who crossed the rainbow bridge yesterday after a long battle with Kidney disease.

Molly was not a rescue, she was one of Karen's champion bred dogs. I personally cared for her anytime Karen had to go away for several days or weeks to take care of all her medical needs.

She will be missed very much. She was the sweetest of dogs and will be waiting on the other side with all of Karen's other dogs that have gone before her. Rest Well Molly. Your little body is now free from sickness.

If you would like to make a donation in honor of Molly or any other dog or person, you can donate several ways to our medical fund. See below:
