The History Girl

The remains of the Spring Valley Christian Church in Hardwick, . The church building was erected in 1841 and the last recorded service was July 31, 1870. Unfortunately the congregation never was able to support a full-time pastor and its demise was caused due to families moving out west. The structure was added to the State and National Register of Historic Places - NPS in 1997 and preservation of the site was completed in 2000. The site and surrounding cemetery is maintained by the Hardwick Township Historical Society.
