Life House has a free, comprehensive Mental Health & Wellness Program that is community based and meets youth where they are at. Our Wellness team professionals include two licensed therapists, a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC), a Peer Recovery Specialist/Certified Prevention Professional, a Youth Family Advocate, and two Wellness Dog. Agate, pictured here, just passed his Canine Good Citizen test. Adopted from a shelter, he has been a part of our team since he was a puppy, and we are proud of him!

Our Youth Center Outdoor Camp recently took youth to kayak & canoe through Boulder Lake Environmental Learning Center. Youth learned the 101s of being on the water, fire safety, and more. With staff, they traveled to one of the water campsites where they built a fire, cooked hotdogs & smores and learned how to properly extinguish a campfire.

Reviewing Before the Big Test!

A youth in our Futures Program completed this math review before attempting her GED Mathematics Exam. She passed! Many youth enrolled in Futures work on completing their diploma/GED while obtaining job skills and working within the Legitimate Hustle Program . Learn more at lifehouselhp.org.

Thank you to staff member Sylvia for sharing your love of art with our youth & community at the last First Street Friday event on July 31st. The second of these sidewalk drawings was inspired by a youth who said the highlight of her summer was graduating high school and getting ready for college.
