Thank you to the folks who attended last night's event at Glensheen to explore ways to strengthen Duluth's connections with Thunder Bay: "Neighbors by Nature. Friends by Choice."

Special thanks to Glensheen for donating the space and to Boreal Waters for the Global Awareness Grant that provided food from Belissios!

We heard from John Dukich from the mayor's office, Dan Hartman from the DECC, Senator Jen McEwen, and Amber Burns from Boreal Waters. Overall, it was a very inspiring evening.

This year’s delegation to Duluth is focused on community wellness. What better way to highlight this than with a trip to Cedar & Stone Nordic Sauna | Luxury Outdoor Saunas to see their craftsmanship up close. Thanks to Justin for the tour (and the steam!)

Duluth Sister Cities commemorated the tragic events of 9-11 this morning appropriately by marking this moment with our friends from - Isumi, our sister city in Japan. Our relationship with Japan was born out of strife, and now symbolizes peace. We can think of no better friends to share this day with. The rain gave us a chance to get even closer! An unforeseen thunder storm created a commotion during the Japan delegation’s visit to the Japanese Peace Bell Garden. Nevertheless, it seemed a fitting location to memorialize the events of 9/11. The world needs more peace bells! ❤️
