Dubuque/Jackson County Habitat for Humanity seeks to put God’s love into action by building homes, communities and hope. Habitat for Humanity is dedicated to eliminating substandard housing locally through constructing, rehabilitating and preserving homes; by advocating for fair and just housing policies; and by providing training and access to resources to help families improve their shelter conditions. Habitat for Humanity was founded on the conviction that every man, woman and child should have a simple, decent place to live.

We are excited and grateful to announce that Dubuque and Jackson Counties Habitat for Humanity has been awarded a $2,500 Community Impact Initiative Grant for 2026 from the East Central Iowa Association of REALTORS (ECIAR)!

These funds will go directly toward purchasing paint for Home 6 at Rosalynn Carter Place, helping us take another step toward completing a safe, affordable home for a local family.

A fresh coat of paint is more than a finishing touch. It brings us one step closer to welcoming another family home! 💙💚

🎉HAPPY NEWS! Today we got to surprise another hardworking family with the news that they've qualified for Habitat homeownership at Rosalynn Carter Place! This family will be focused on accruing Partnership Hours in the coming days and weeks as they help finish construction on their future home. Families can also volunteer at Habitat ReStore Dubuque.
