Four PWHU members carried the weight of all on our autumn litter pickup Sunday, September 20 on Route 322, Rockton Mountain. Carol Beegle, Brian Cessna, Heidi Harvey, and Don Schmidt braved the rainy weather to get two-thirds of our three-mile section cleared of trash. They will return at 1 pm today, Monday, Sept 22, to finish if anyone else is able to join.

Braddock District Sportsmen Association held their annual banquet at Johnny's Restaurant in Wilmerding, PA, Saturday September 19. It was also a celebration for Director Sylvia's 90th birthday and the birth of member Matt and Bri's daughter Delainey Nicole August 22. What a great gathering of old and new friends as they also welcomed PWHU members Beth Giese and Heidi Harvey. President Tom Nowakowski presented a donation from BDSA to PWHU and accepted PWHU's gift of Ned Smith's "King of the Mountain" print. Braddock members and guests also received t-shirts from the 2026 CC Youth Field Day, which they helped sponsor, and PWHU hosted. The two clubs became connected through efforts of the late Bob Pendro many years ago.
