Join the Wayne State University College of Nursing on Thursday, Oct. 1, for the 2026 Dr. Virginia Hill Rice Endowed Distinguished Lecture featuring nationally recognized nurse leader, researcher and Wayne State alumna Antonia M. Villarruel, PhD, RN, FAAN.
Dr. Villarruel will present “Rewriting Care: AI, Ethics, and Equity in the Health Professions,” exploring how AI is influencing research, education, clinical decision-making and patient care while raising critical questions about bias, misinformation, accountability and responsible use.
The event will also feature a panel discussion with perspectives on AI in nursing education, therapy development, community-based care and patient care technologies.
This continuing education activity has been submitted to the Ohio Nurses Association to award contact hours. The Ohio Nurses Association is an Ohio Board of Nursing approver of continuing education. (OBN-001-91)
