Looking for activities to do with your little ones in Detroit? Check out your local Detroit Public Library branch! MPSI Project LAUNCH had lots of fun at the Parkman branch’s story time where we danced, played with new friends, and listened to books read by the children’s librarian, Juliette. The Parkman Branch Library hosts story time Tuesday mornings at 10:30. They are located at 1766 Oakman Blvd, Detroit, MI 48238. You can contact them for more information at 313-481-1810.

So often, the first signs that a parent is struggling don’t show up in clinical spaces; they show up in everyday moments, in quiet shifts, in what is felt but always not named.

We invite you into a space for learning and connection for Bridging Community and Care: Trusted Messengers in Perinatal, Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health.

This training is rooted in three simple powerful actions: Notice. Normalize. Connect.

Together we will:
Notice the signs and red flags of perinatal mental health challanges, and challenges in teh careigver-child relationship
Normalize the conversation that reduce stigma, shame and blame
Connect families to meaningful, trusted care and resources
Trusted messengers: faith leaders, community organizers, educators, providers, doulas, and those embedded in community, are often the first to see, hear and hold these experiences. This training is designed to support you in the role. Families looking to learn more information on perinatal and infant and early childhood mental health are welcome to attend.

📆 April 17, 2026
