September is close by, carrying that classic "I'm not summer, but I'm not fully fall either" attitude.
As we settle into the in-between season, our calendar is always full of amazing ways to connect -so go ahead and mark your favorites.

We're also putting the finishing touches on our next big upcoming event so stay connected to see what we have planned. It's almost reveal ready and we can't wait to share!

And whatever the season decides to be, we'll keep creating spaces that feel warm, steady and supportive, no matter how unpredictable the weather gets.

Love.

Some q***r history deserves more than a footnote.

If Compton’s Cafeteria feels new to you, that’s exactly why this Tuesday we’re screening Screaming Queens: The Riot at Compton’s Cafeteria for Trans History Month.

The Emmy Award-winning documentary brings together archival footage and firsthand stories from the trans and q***r people, activists, and others who were there when years of police harassment boiled over into resistance in San Francisco’s Tenderloin.

And when the film ends, Affirmations Executive Director Tracy Hall will lead a conversation about Compton’s, trans resistance, q***r political power, and how much of our history disappears when Stonewall becomes the only story we know.
That’s THIS Tuesday. Free. And absolutely worth knowing about.

SCREAMING QUEENS: THE RIOT AT COMPTON’S CAFETERIA
🗓 Tuesday, August 11
⏰ 6–7:30 PM
