For our Alumni focus this week, we are highlighting Megg Buis.
Megg grew up in Grosse Pointe and attended Defer Elementary, Pierce Middle School, and Grosse Pointe South, where she ended up graduating.
Her path after high school was definitely not the traditional one. She became a mom young and started building my career before going to college. While working and raising my kids, she attended Wayne State University, where she studied a mix of political science, philosophy, and theatre.
Professionally, she has worked her way through sales, account management, business development, and marketing, with marketing eventually becoming where everything really clicked.
Currently, Megg is now the Director of Marketing for Equity Solutions USA, a nationwide appraisal management company, where she oversees marketing, branding, communications, events, content, and sales support.
Megg also started her own small marketing company, Elevated Marketing Co., where she works with businesses on branding, social media, content, and marketing strategy.
Outside of work, she is a mom of three, which is obviously a huge part of who she is and what motivates her. Megg has stayed in Metro Detroit and still has a lot of love for Grosse Pointe and the schools she gree up in.
She has built her career while raising her kids, continuing her education along the way, and created something that feels very much like her own. We are so proud of you Megg!!
