Gentlemen of the 4th Texas, at our January meeting this past Friday, the unit voted to attend The 155th Bentonville in Four Oaks NC as an official event. This will be as part of an authentic adjunct to this normally mainstream effort. Please get registered! (Link to registration is below) For “Unit Name” please put in “ANV-CB”. Registration closes January 31, 2020. We are striving to bring a 12-20 man company. Let’s show the real spirit of this organization!

We will be portraying a western impression. Specifically the consolidated 2nd/10th/20th Tennessee.

Make plans to be in Four Oaks, NC at the Bentonville Battlefield, 155th Anniversary Event, March 21-22, 2020.

I have registered all paid MLACWS members (both military and civilian) for the Van Raalte event Sept 20-22.

I spoke with the 4th Texas military officers today, and we have agreed that discretion is the better part of valor. The impending dangerous heat wave is going to put a damper on our participation at the Hastings event; therefore we plan to not attend.

I have personally communicated this to everyone in our company who told me they were planning to attend, but there is a chance one of you 'changed their mind' and has been planning to attend. If you plan to attend Hastings, there are several very good companies from the JDR you will be able to fall in with.

We're famous at Smokey Jose's on Mackinac Island. I think the owner was pleased I loaned him my Hardee's hat for the picture!

You gotta feel safe when you have the military having dinner with you at Smokey Jose's. Great group of fellows too.
