Iowa has 552 American Legion Posts. Only 98 have submitted their Consolidated Post Report (CPR).

That’s 17.75% of us that's submitted a CPR.
Is that acceptable?

Those CPRs track everything we did from June 1 to May 31. When we put them all together, they become the National Commander’s ammo on Capitol Hill to fight for veterans. That’s our federal charter in action. One Post’s story is good. 552 Posts together? That’s power.

If we don’t tell our story, no one else will. And if no one knows what we do, we disappear from our own communities. Think about that. We can’t let that happen.

If your Post hasn’t filed its CPR yet — get it done. Our voice is only strong when we use it together.

2027 membership packets were received this week from District Commander Jim Perry and I delivered all 23 of central region post’s yesterday and today traveling 410 miles, For God and Country!

Some of the best flame grilled ribeye steak in the District come from under this roof. But only just three times each summer. I don't want you to miss it!

These guys have been busy straightening and repairing our grill shack just in time for another steak fry season…thank you Gordy Olson and Mark Benson!!

Saturday May 23 Legion Post 352 in Elgin will be doing the cooking. Hope to see some of you there. They just spruced up the cook shack. Come enjoy the food and have your picture taken.

We had another great Buchanan Co Legion meeting last night that was hosted by Post 434, Quasqueton. Information as to the current business of the 4th District and Buchanan CO were discussed and shared. It was my privilege to hand 434 another Roadrunner award for exceeding the 105% membership goal set by Department. 434 obtained 123.3% of the set goal. ( Post Commander Orlan Love and Randy Moose)
