We recently upgraded our heating and cooling system at Conmigo Early Education Center. The project wad made possible by a generous grant award from Polk County Iowa.

We are very grateful for the support, thank you!

Polk County Supervisor Matt McCoy presented a community development grant on behalf of the Board of Supervisors to the Des Moines Hispanic Educational Resources, Inc.. The funds will be used for necessary mechanical upgrades at their downtown facility. The facility is dedicated to providing early childhood education for the Latino community.

Meet Lisa, she is one of our three new board members.
She joined this month!

Meet Lisa, one of our fantastic CDA® Navigators! She’ll be taking over our Facebook and Instagram stories today. Lisa is a Navigator in the northeast Iowa region, and she’ll be walking us through her day as a Navigator. Here’s Lisa’s favorite part about being a Navigator:

“I love being a Navigator because I’m able to help individuals reach their career pathway goals and to see them accomplish something that is very rewarding.”

Last weekend one of our board members that leads the Xochipilli Garden committee spent two hours learning about Iowa Native plants. You will see some native plants soon in our Xochipilli garden at Conmigo Early Education Center

Thanks to our dedicated teachers and administrators Conmigo Early Education Center is now IQ4K rated!

We are happy to announce that we have achieved an IQ4K rating! Conmigo has been improving their quality while progressing through the Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) process for IQ4K. IQ4K is the leading indicator of quality child care using national standards and evidence-based practices that have proven outcomes for kids. By participating in IQ4K, Conmigo is dedicated to providing quality care by making improvements and enhancing best practices in health & safety, environment, professional development, family & community partnerships and leadership & administration. We will continue to work tirelessly to achieve higher ratings on the IQ4K scale and improve our quality of care.
