Part 2: Time to Act

We can’t just feel outraged and move on. Accountability IS prevention and it starts in our own lives.

We are asking you to have the hard conversations you’ve been avoiding. Hold the people in your life accountable. And continue to share survivor stories. Cornell is not an isolated incident. A step we can take is acknowledging that, learning from other survivors and demand action from our institutions. If you can, tag those institutions here so we can continue to do our work on college campuses.

Share your stories. Believe ALL survivors. Share your action. Just share 🧡

Part 1: When a survivor shares their story, believing them is not just the beginning, it is the catalyst for change, a call for us to keep going.

We can change what is happening by knowing our reactions to things matter, accountability to causing harm matters, little conversations matter.

Share your story. Share your action. Just share. 🧡 Part 2 with more calls to actions coming tomorrow

Our film, Stories of Survival brings real stories of sexual assault and domestic violence to life, creating space to listen to the people who experienced harm, the people who caused it and the truths that can move us toward something different.

Following the film, a panel of people featured in the film and experts in violence prevention will explore the space between accountability and healing. How does being shown the truth change what comes next? What happens when we are willing to understand the full story, confront harm and believe that a different trajectory is possible?

This is not just a conversation about what happened. It is a conversation about what comes next.

Join us at Colorado School of Mines in collaboration with Mines Prevents for an evening of kind, honest conversation on how we all can create safer spaces.

“I mostly just don’t want it t happen again or to anyone else.”

Our ability to prevent sexual violence starts in understanding that we are a team. All of us. And when we are given the proper tools, we can find a common goal that drives the mission forward. Elise Morris from CHAMP talks us through why sports are the perfect vessel to be having these conversations. Hear more in our new episode of the Breaking Silence podcast, wherever you listen!

Another We Believe Wednesday with JoDee Neil. JoDee is a warrior in every sense of the word. She spent years prosecuting crimes against children while hiding her own trauma. Now she’s written the book she wishes someone had handed her. This week, we break down what it means to be an “outcry witness,” why staying frozen felt like a disservice to her true self, and how healing is possible with or without the justice system. This conversation will guide through some challenges you may be facing with care and understanding! Listen wherever you get your podcasts 🧡🧡🧡

Confronting the painful truths in the Epstein Files can be incredibly challenging. Our Executive Director explores why that might be and urges us to reflect on how we respond when someone shares their story with us. We must believe all survivors.

We know this video is long but please stay with us. Share it out. We have to keep this narrative going

Our journey toward finding our voice and understanding how our story shapes us looks different for everyone. But one common thread is how we choose to show up for someone when they break their silence.

Through vulnerability, heart, and profound courage, guides us in this episode — and in her book Unearthed: The Lies We Carry & The Truths They Bury — toward a deeper knowing of ourselves and others.

As you listen, we invite you to reflect:

💬 What does it mean to offer someone the words: “I believe you”?
💬 How do we move from being alone with our story to being supported in it?
💬 If a friend told you they were ready to speak, what would you say to show you’re ready to listen?
