Fresh Art. Bold Voices. 🎨

We loved partnering with Cameron United Methodist Church to celebrate the incredible creativity of Urban Peak youth.

Originally created for exhibition and purchase at the Urban Nights Sneaker Ball, youths’ beautiful works of art got another chance to shine at a community showcase just a short walk from The Mothership.

We’re so proud of our talented young artists and grateful for opportunities to share their passion! 💜

Volunteers, we appreciate you! 💛

Urban Peak welcomed Board members, Spark Ambassadors, Ignite Young Professionals Board members and recurring volunteers to The Mothership for our 2nd annual volunteer appreciation ice cream social.

With good ice cream and good conversation, folks shared what volunteering means to them.

Thank you to this amazing community— our Urban Peak family. With your support being the spark for our youth, together we can end youth homelessness.

A Summer Day’s Dream ☀️

To soak up the last rays of Denver’s summer sun, Urban Peak youth and staff enjoyed an outing to Berkeley Lake for an afternoon of paddle boarding.

It’s always nice to get away for a few hours and just relax and have fun with friends on the water, and studies consistently show that spending time in nature is linked to cognitive benefits and improvements in mood, mental health and emotional well-being.

We love the Denver Parks and Recreation outdoor program!

Dreams for a Bright Future ⭐

Catalina (19) connected with Urban Peak in 2025 and has been working toward a bright future ever since! With support from our team, she’s applied to college and jobs, accessed vital resources and even led an art group for other youth.

Now, Catalina is preparing to move into her own apartment and dreams of becoming a tattoo artist. Reflecting on her journey, she shared, “I’m really proud of myself.” 💙

What a night! 👟✨

550 members of this amazing community came together for the Urban Nights Sneaker Ball 2026, raising almost $1 million for Urban Peak and youth experiencing homelessness—our largest amount ever!

We celebrated Chad Holtzinger of Shopworks Architecture as our 2026 Urban Legend, exhibited youths’ incredible artwork, heard Zion’s inspiring story of resilience and danced the night away in our best sneakers with Brazilian Music Colorado, Bella Diva World Dance and Escola de Samba Denver.

Thank you to our event chairs, sponsors, volunteers and everyone who attended for being the spark that helps young people thrive! 💙

True Companions 🐶❤️

Urban Peak youth recently visited our partners at True Companions Animal Shelter & Clinic for some volunteerism and animal love! This follows youth and volunteers building dog toys for our furry friends during Volunteer for Good Week last month.

Alongside our E&E team, youths Xavier and Wish spent time cleaning windows and playing with puppies and cats.

One youth used to be an animal trainer and shared that this visit reignited their interest in it. And both expressed wanting to come back to support in the future. 😊

The Mothership - Innovation by Design 🌟

We are thrilled to announce that Urban Peak’s innovative campus, The Mothership, was named as an honoree in the General Excellence category of the Fast Company’s 2026 Innovation by Design Awards!

It’s an honor to be recognized for The Mothership’s intentional, trauma-informed design that rethinks how youth experiencing homelessness can be served by co-locating all our services on one campus and providing progressively independent levels of housing.

At Urban Peak, youth are reaching positive, permanent housing outcomes 3x faster than they did before The Mothership.

Special thanks to our incredible partners at Shopworks Architecture who helped design the building and turned our vision into reality!
