Listen to Regan Rosburg's polished appeal for why you should attend the "Dear Future" letter-writing workshop next Tuesday - followed by something a little spicier 🔥

On October 20th from 5:30-7pm, use your voice to reflect on the past, write a politician, send a request to the future, or just let out a rant 🗣️

Rosburg has been developing her ongoing socially engaged project "Dear Future" as an intentional act of self-reflection and community connection, in opposition to censorship.

Since 2017, Rosburg has collected over 1,000 handwritten letters from around the world, compiled in her anonymous digital archive.

Each participant will receive a small bottle of rain-scented moss as a token of gratitude from the artist!

Join us for "Dear Future: a letter-writing workshop" with exhibiting artist Regan Rosburg!

📝 Tuesday, October 20, 5:30-7pm

Interdisciplinary artist Regan Rosburg has been developing her ongoing, socially engaged project "Dear Future" as an intentional act of self-reflection and community connection, in opposition to censorship.

Since 2017, Rosburg has collected over 1,000 handwritten letters from around the world, compiled in her anonymous digital archive. The workshop is inspired by her current exhibition on view at RedLine, "The New Gilded Age," which connects climate change to our current socio-political climate.

Rosburg offers participants the opportunity to channel their thoughts and emotions into a letter, which can take the form of a memory, drawing, poem, or rant. Letters can be addressed to someone, or to the future itself.

In exchange, each participant will receive a small bottle of rain-scented moss as a token of gratitude from the artist.

Fanzine Club is an opportunity to meet new people, hang out, and make independent publications that let you express your heart and mind.

From art journals to mini magazines, Fanzine Club is a chance to create your own zine or contribute to "In The Red," a new RedLine Fanzine!

Led by REACH Core Artist Carlton Douglas Smith (also known as Anunk Christi), a multidisciplinary artist exploring the intersections of non-linear expression, conceptual systems, and consciousness.

Meet Guest Curator of "The Weight of Tomorrow: 2026 Resident Artist Show":l Kimi Kitada!

Kimi Kitada is a curator and educator based in Kansas City. Currently, she is the Gallery and Programs Manager for Charlotte Street.

Previously, she was a Curatorial Assistant at The Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles from 2019-2020. From 2014 to 2018, she served as Public Programs & Research Coordinator at ICI in New York.

Her recent exhibitions include: A Scattering of Jades at the Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art, St. Joseph, MO (2026); The River Remembers at Charlotte Street (2025); Ways of Listening at Charlotte Street (2024); Potential Futures: Prototypes at Charlotte Street (2023); and where we came from & where we are going at Transformer, Washington DC (2019); among other exhibitions.

Featuring new work by RedLine’s 2026 artists-in-residence, "The Weight of Tomorrow" opens on Friday, September 25th.

Regan Rosburg: The New Gilded Age

Interdisciplinary artist and RedLine Resident Alum Regan Rosburg explores the causes and consequences of the so-called “New Gilded Age.”

In the past two years, the concept has been sold to Americans as both a grand return to a glorified past and an idealized future—one that is “golden” and prosperous for all.

In this new body of work, Rosburg reveals the increasingly thin veneer of manufactured opulence, symbolized by the same gilded baroque embellishments found in the current White House.

Regan Rosburg is an interdisciplinary artist who weaves together science, psychology, history, and social engagement.

With a passion for studying various ecosystems and biota, her work investigates not only the exquisite intelligence of ecology, but also the causes and ramifications of over-consumption.
