David Fitzgerald Live at the Hub!
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 5th 5:00 p.m. David Fitzgerald Live at the Hub: Clearly Written By Boys: A Woman’s Guide to the Bible Tickets Required for this Event! Buy online now: https://secularhub.org/y/fitz26

What would the Bible look like if women mattered—really mattered? What if the women of the Bible could tell us their stories in their own voices? David Fitzgerald talks about his new book, co-written with author Karis Burkowski, Clearly Written by Boys: A Woman’s Guide to the Bible. With humor, sharp wit, expert research, entertaining storytelling and a welcome dose of skepticism, in this talk David explores how the Bible’s authors consistently bungle women’s issues, that the Jesus of the gospels is no feminist-friendly hero, and highlights the fight against those who weaponize the Bible against us. As women are being stripped of their hard-fought rights, this crucial topic is more vital than ever. Don't miss this fun and engaging talk! Doors open at 4:30 with the talk to begin at 5:00 p.m. Tickets are $5 for Secular Hub Members and $10 for Non-Members. David will be selling and signing books after his talk, but if you would like to read the book prior to the event, you can order one at www.clearlywrittenbyboys.com or by supporting your local independent bookstore by asking them to order/carry the book. After the talk, please stick around to mingle, chat with David, get your book signed and listen to our very own Starving Oligarchs Jazz musicians. Feel free to BYOB and bring dinner or something to share if you would like to make an evening of it! Advance Ticket Purchase Strongly Suggested, tickets may not be available at the door if we reach capacity. Please Note!!!! RSVP on meetup does NOT mean you have a ticket! Advance purchase tickets are required and are only available online at this link: https://secularhub.org/y/fitz26
