Jody brings more than 25 years of nonprofit leadership dedicated to children, families, and community impact. Her passion for mission-driven work, her commitment to collaboration, and her heart for creating healing spaces for children battling cancer make her an incredible addition to our Special Spaces family.

As we continue creating dream bedrooms across the country — nearly 200 each year — Jody will help lead our next chapter of growth, connection, and impact.

We are so excited to introduce you to 4-year-old Christian, our next Special Spaces makeover recipient! 💙

Christian is battling optic pathway glioma. While his tumor is currently stable, his journey continues. Now, Christian is getting an OCEAN theme room designed just for him. 🐠🐚🌊 And because siblings matter too, Christian's brother will receive a bedroom refresh!

Michael’s makeover is complete and a day we’ll never forget as Special Spaces Boca Raton 𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝟭𝟬 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘀 and completed our 𝟳𝟬𝘁𝗵 𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗯𝗲𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, generously sponsored by 𝗟𝗼𝘃𝗲, 𝗧𝗶𝘁𝗼’𝘀.

Before this makeover, Michael, who is courageously battling Acute Myeloid Leukemia, shared a single king-size bed with his 14-year-old and 7-year-old sisters.

Because of the generosity of 𝗟𝗼𝘃𝗲, 𝗧𝗶𝘁𝗼’𝘀, our incredible volunteers, donors, and community partners, this shared bedroom was thoughtfully transformed into a space that gives Michael his own gaming retreat while creating a beautiful, cozy area just for his sisters; giving them their own special space.

This makeover is about so much more than furniture and décor. It’s about restoring comfort, privacy, dignity, and hope to a family facing one of life’s toughest challenges! 💛

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Axel, one of our cherished Special Spaces bedroom recipients. Axel’s strength, smile, and spirit touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. While we are deeply saddened by this loss, we are grateful to have been a small part of bringing comfort and joy to his life through his dream bedroom.

Please keep Axel’s family and loved ones in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time. His memory will forever hold a special place in our hearts.

Ten-year-old Michael, who is courageously battling Acute Myeloid Leukemia, loves gaming--especially Roblox! 🎮✨ In July, we plan to give Michael a brand new room that will be more than a place to sleep — it will be his own ultimate gaming retreat! A space where he can escape into his favorite worlds, recharge, and just be a kid. 💚 And we are planning special surprises for his two sisters too!
