Highlighting two incredible volunteers from summer ‘26 Serving Up Hope in Los Angeles, George Fogarty and Charlotte Wright! 🌟🌟

Hear from George: “I volunteer at Serving Up Hope because I want to pay back to others the same opportunity I had growing up with tennis. But the SUH program is about so much more than just learning tennis. It’s about teamwork, building self-confidence and leadership skills.”

And Charlotte: “My favorite part about Serving Up Hope is the opportunity to coach children. I love engaging with kids, helping them develop their skills, and hearing their perspectives on things both on and off the court. Being able to share my love of tennis with others and help them discover their own enjoyment of the sport is what makes volunteering with Serving Up Hope so meaningful to me.

I truly believe that everyone should have the opportunity to experience the feeling of hitting a ball with a tennis racket at least once in their lives. I love tennis because it challenges a person in so many different ways.”

And George agrees: “My favorite part of Serving up Hope is the joy that kids experience when they hit a good shot. I get so much out of coaching, but even better is seeing these kids grow as players. I’m excited for their future and love of the game.

And I’m grateful to Vania King for founding this awesome program!”
