Florida Atlantic alumnus Tyler Cameron ’18 will be appearing on the upcoming season of "Dancing with the Stars!"🕺

Cameron previously played football for the Owls and later graduated from Florida Atlantic with his MBA. In 2019, he starred on "The Bachelorette," finishing as runner-up.

He now owns his own contracting company in Jupiter, and also starred in the Amazon Prime reality show "Going Home with Tyler Cameron."

Season 35 of "Dancing with the Stars" will debut on Tuesday, Sept. 15. Good luck, Tyler! 🦉

Congratulations to longtime Florida Atlantic Baseball coach John McCormack on being selected to the Irish American Baseball Hall of Fame! ⚾️


McCormack will join prior inductees such as Baseball Hall of Famers Wade Boggs, Nolan Ryan, and Vin Scully, and Jim Palmer, as well as former major leaguers Steve Garvey and Sean Casey.

McCormack is entering his 19th season as the Owls' Head Coach and his 37th season with the program. He's led Florida Atlantic to 605 wins, four regular season conference championships and one postseason conference championship. Additionally, the Owls have qualified for NCAA Regionals six times in the McCormack era.

Talon Hall is officially open!

Today, students began moving into the brand-new, seven-story residence hall on the southeastern portion of the Florida Atlantic Boca Raton campus.

Talon Hall will feature modern study areas to support academic success, along with spacious community kitchens. For relaxation and socializing, the building will offer a vibrant game room, a sundeck, and an outdoor pavilion complete with hammocks, a chipping green, BBQ grills and a fire pit.

It’s exciting to watch the progression of the Kurt and Marilyn Wallach Holocaust and Jewish Studies Building!

The 22,000-square-foot structure, located on the east side of the Florida Atlantic Boca Raton campus, will be the home of the university’s Holocaust education, Jewish studies and related programs.

Can’t wait for the building to open!

The Florida Atlantic University Foundation raised more than $70 million from nearly 10,000 donors at the close of the 2026 fiscal year, marking one of the top five fundraising totals in the university’s history.

“This milestone reflects the extraordinary generosity of the many supporters who believe in Florida Atlantic and its mission of serving our students and community,” said FAU President Adam Hasner.

“As a result of their investment, scholarships, enhanced academic programs and innovative research are opening doors for our students, strengthening our rise as an R1 top-tier research university, and expanding our impact across our region, state and beyond."
