🌍 Project Spotlight: Lakhaya Bridge 🌍

I’m excited to share the site overview for the Lakhaya Bridge project! This 90-meter bridge will connect the Esibovini and KaMazombizwe communities in the Maseyisini Inkhundla of the Shiselweni Region of Eswatini, ensuring safe passage across the Mbini River, which frequently floods.

Here are some key highlights of the site:
📍 Location: Shiselweni Region, Kingdom of Eswatini

🌊 Challenges:
* A 7-day flood duration during the wet season per river flooding
* River erosion and community isolation
* 4 deaths and 12 injuries caused by hazardous crossings

🏗️ Key Nearby Infrastructure:
* KaMazombizwe School 🏫
* A vital clinic 🏥
* Local maize fields 🌽

This bridge will benefit over 2,500 people, improving:
✔️ School attendance
✔️ Healthcare access
✔️ Market opportunities
