Summer Seedlings Camp is in full swing: water slide testing, seedling-made guacamole, muddy kitchen play, lizard spotting, fizzy science, and children deep in their own ideas.

🌱 Applications Now Open for Sunflower Sprouts 2026–2027! 🌱

Looking for a place where both you and your child can learn, grow, and build community together?

Sunflower Sprouts is a unique parent-and-child program for children 16 months to 3 years old and their caregivers. More than just a class, Sprouts is an opportunity to slow down, connect, and experience the joy of childhood through play, nature, and meaningful relationships.

Together, children and caregivers will explore:
✨ Creative art experiences
✨ Sensory play
✨ Nature exploration
✨ Early cooperative play and problem-solving
✨ Outdoor adventures

Caregivers are supported as they develop their own parenting styles, share the journey with other families, and form lasting friendships within our community.

📅 Fall 2026 – Spring 2027
🕐 Mondays OR Fridays, 1:00–2:30 PM

Application Period: June 15–29, 2026

Please note that admission is not first-come, first-served. All applications received by June 29 will be thoughtfully reviewed before placements are offered.

• July 20: Enrollment Deadline
• Week of August 24: Classes Begin

The Importance of Stepping Back.
Traditionally, adults have acted as problem solvers in the classroom. When a Child is faced with a difficult question or problem, the adult’s instinct is to jump in and provide an immediate solution. However, this approach may not be the most beneficial for the child’s development. To foster critical thinking skills, it’s essential to provide children with the space and opportunity to come up with solutions on their own. By doing so, we allow them to develop their own identities and grow into independent thinkers.

🌻 Parent/Child Class Applications Open June 15–29

Are you looking for a space where you and your child can slow down, connect, and grow together?

Our parent/child classes offer more than just activities. They’re intentional spaces where families build friendships, children explore with wonder, and parents feel supported through the ups and downs of early childhood.

This application window includes four unique programs:

👶 Sunflower Babies (birth–16 months) FREE CLASS

A cozy and caring space for families with infants to connect and share support. We talk about everything from feeding and sleep to postpartum adjustment and child development.

🎶 Circle of Song (birth–5 years)

The original Sunflower class, offering music, movement, storytelling, and joyful connection through live guitar and ukulele. A time to sing, play, and bond with your child in a warm and welcoming environment.

🌱 Sunflower Sprouts (16 months–3 years)

Hands-on art, nature exploration, and sensory experiences designed for toddlers and their caregivers. In Sprouts, parents and children explore side-by-side while building early social, emotional, and problem-solving skills.

🌿 Roots & Shoots: Shooting Stars (ages 5–12) FREE CLASS

Children join Jane Goodall’s international network of young changemakers and take part in local service projects that help people, animals, and the environment. Weekly meetups alternate between the Delray Beach Children’s Garden and natural areas around the community.

Process-oriented ART allows the children to explore and experiment with materials while encouraging creativity and problem-solving. The end result is not to have a line of artwork that is all the same, but rather the process that is unique to each child’s personality and development.
