Daytona Dog Beach, Inc is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation, with filed Articles of Incorporation with the Florida Department of State. The PURPOSE of our organization is to work with community partners to promote, support and educate the public in furtherance of safe, environmentally sound, and courteous dog friendly beaches in the Greater Daytona Beach area of Volusia County. As an entirely

volunteer organization, our MISSION is as follows:
• To promote dog beaches within Volusia County where well-behaved canine citizens can exercise in a clean, safe environment without endangering or annoying people, property, or wildlife.
• To maintain beautiful, clean, dog friendly beach areas within Volusia County, open to dog lovers and friends who are willing to uphold the dog beaches’ rules and regulations.
• To view dog beaches as a community project in partnership with key players throughout the community, including the County of Volusia, designed to satisfy the needs of dog owners and non-dog owners alike.
• To promote education, training and recreational activities that facilitate responsible dog ownership and better-behaved dogs using volunteers and professionals in the animal welfare industry.

Ormond & Daytona Dog Beaches! 🐕🏖️

This isn't just a photo in a magazine. It's the result of years of determination, collaboration, advocacy, volunteerism, community support, and a shared vision that dogs and their people deserve a place to enjoy the World's Most Famous Beach together.

What was once a dream became a reality on November 1, 2023 and December 1, 2025, when Ormond and Daytona Dog Beach officially opened. Now, they are being showcased to visitors from around the world as one of the unique experiences that makes Daytona Beach such a special destination.

To every volunteer, supporter, sponsor, partner, elected official, and dog lover who believed in this vision and helped make it happen—this moment belongs to you too.

When people ask if one small all-volunteer nonprofit can make a difference, this is the answer.

🐾☀️ Paw Ambassador Delilah reporting for duty! ☀️🐾

Mom and I hit Daytona Dog Beach early this morning for a little beach patrol. We worked hard, sniffed thoroughly, and helped remove 3 buckets of trash from the sand. We even rescued one lonely beach ball that was trying to make a break for the ocean!

After about an hour, though, the Florida sunshine reminded us who's really in charge. 🥵 This little Yorkie and her human decided it was time to retreat, rehydrate, and regroup.

The bad news? There was still more trash waiting to be collected.
The good news? We'll be back! Because keeping our dog-friendly beach beautiful is a job this Paw Ambassador takes very seriously. 🐾💜🐾

🐾💜 642 Pounds of Commitment. 642 Pounds of Care. 642 Pounds of Difference. 💜🐾

While much of our volunteer team spent May preparing for the inaugural Hang 8 Dog Surfing Extravaganza, our dedicated Paw Ambassadors never lost sight of another promise we made to our community — keeping our dog-friendly beaches clean, welcoming, and enjoyable for everyone.

Thanks to their unwavering dedication, our volunteers removed an incredible 642 pounds of trash during May:
🐾 153 pounds from Daytona Dog Beach
🐾 489 pounds from Ormond Dog Beach

These efforts aren't just about picking up litter. They help protect wildlife, preserve our beautiful shoreline, enhance the visitor experience, and ensure that dogs and their humans can continue enjoying these special places responsibly.

As a 100% volunteer-powered organization, we are continually inspired by the Paw Ambassadors who show up day after day, often before sunrise, before or after work, to make a difference. Their commitment proves that even while planning major events, we never stop working to fulfill our mission of putting paws in the sand while protecting the beaches we love.

To every Paw Ambassador: thank you for your time, your passion, and your countless acts of service. You are the heart of Daytona Dog Beach, Inc.

The Daytona Dog Beach Ducks are already 50 ducks strong in the 2026 Great Daytona Beach Kiwanis Duck Race — and we're just getting started!

For the third consecutive year, Daytona Dog Beach, Inc. is proud to be part of this fun-filled community fundraiser that creates brighter futures for local children while helping us keep "Paws in the Sand & Surf" right here in Volusia County.

We are thrilled to announce the winners of the 2026 Hang 8 Dog Surfing Extravaganza!

From incredible surfing skills and crowd-pleasing rides to unforgettable costumes and wag-worthy moments, this year's competitors brought their A-game to the World's Most Famous Beach.

Congratulations to all of our winners and a heartfelt thank you to every dog, handler, volunteer, sponsor, judge, and spectator who helped make this event such an epic success. Every pup who hit the waves was a champion in our eyes, and together you made this a day to remember.
