The Ball will be held at The Estate on the Halifax, located at 5123 S Ridgewood Ave, Port Orange, Florida, on Saturday, September 21, 2024, beginning at 6 pm. This year's event will transport you back to the era of the "Barons" (1880s – 1919), with many historical reenactors donning authentic clothing from that time. We encourage attendees to join in the spirit by dressing in attire from this period or opting for modern formal wear. The festivities kick off with a champagne reception from 6:00 to 7:00 pm, where guests will be greeted by members of The Halifax Foundation. Following the reception, a gourmet dinner will be served, accompanied by entertainment, live music, and dancing. Both upstairs and downstairs, a well-stocked cash bar will feature period cocktails, and the silent auction will showcase local items, collectors' pieces, and remarkable local artistry. Modern conveniences such as a professional photographer, valet parking, an elevator, and full indoor plumbing (something rare in the era) will be available for your comfort. The event aims to recreate the ambiance of the golden years in the history of our area when luminaries like Henry Flagler and John D. Rockefeller frequented the area. The rich and famous, including Edward, the Prince of Wales, Henry Ford, Thomas Edison, Al Capone, and Will Rogers, were drawn to these beaches during this time. About The Halifax Foundation:
