VCARD is a not-profit dedicated to affecting positive outcomes for the development in our community.

The decisions made about where we build, what we build and how we build literally becomes the community in which we live, is it any wonder debates can become heated when discussing these issues. Our organization is dedicated to fostering a shared understanding about growth and development. This understanding helps lead to consensus-building, a key element to responsible development. Defining what is "good growth" versus "bad growth" depends on who you are talking to; appeasing every person's opinion is impossible. What is possible is the opportunity to see new perspectives, to collaborate, and to engage in healthy debate which leads to livable, vibrant places. VCARD is a not-for-profit dedicated to affecting positive outcomes for the development in our community. We achieve this goal by:

-Facilitating open-dialogue about what, where, and how we build;
-Publishing information on land development to ensure a transparent process;
-Monitoring policies and legislation impacting development choices;
-Acting as a liaison between municipal agencies and professionals in the field;
-Providing educational forums for individuals interested in the health of their community;
-Circulating timely information on development matters. VCARD is for all active members of the community who are interested in how we grow.

After attending VCARD events and getting to know the organization, Renae pulled the trigger and officially joined the VCARD family!

Renae shared that she wanted to become more involved in the conversations and relationships shaping responsible growth and development throughout Volusia and Flagler counties. She also sees VCARD as a great opportunity to learn from and connect with professionals across the commercial real estate and development community. 😄

JPMorganChase recently hosted an Interactive Professional Services Roundtable with VCARD members at Stonewood Grill & Tavern. It was a great opportunity to hear perspectives from both national and local stakeholders and compare insights on market forces, talent, growth, and our shifting economic conditions.

VCARD and FPZA Surfcoast Chapter members gathered to help clean up City Island in Daytona Beach, followed by a well-deserved post-cleanup lunch at McK’s Tavern!

Nearly 200 attendees gathered for VCARD’s 2026 Local Government Icebreaker Presented by ECS on September 17th for an evening of networking, connecting with our local government leaders, and visiting our amazing exhibitor booths!

This year looked a little different behind the scenes. Our Executive Director, Kelli, unexpectedly spent the event in the hospital at 36 weeks pregnant. We’re happy to share that Kelli and baby are both doing well, baby decided it wasn’t quite time to make her debut, and Kelli is now home! 💕

A huge thank you to VCARD Chair Kris Rowley, Kerry Karl, and especially our Board Secretary, Jane Addison, for stepping up and making sure the event continued seamlessly. Jane, we cannot thank you enough. Without you, this event simply would not have gone on. Your leadership, dedication, and willingness to jump in wherever needed meant more than we can say!

Thank you as well to ALL of our incredible volunteers, exhibitors, sponsors, government partners, and attendees who helped make the evening such a success.
