Get to know Dr. Peggy Chabrian, an aviation educator, advocate, founder of Women in Aviation International, and a National Aviation Hall of Fame Class of 2024 Enshrinee.
Dr. Chabrian began her career as a university professor and administrator, focusing on aviation education.
She became a flight instructor and later earned the role of FAA-designated pilot examiner, contributing to aviation training and safety.
In 1994, Dr. Chabrian founded Women in Aviation International (WAI), an organization dedicated to the advancement and support of women in the aviation industry.
She is a leading advocate for gender diversity in the aviation industry, working to increase opportunities and visibility for women in all aviation roles.

Get to know General Ronald R. Fogleman, USAF (Ret), pilot and military leader, and a National Aviation Hall of Fame Class of 2018 Enshrinee.
Fogleman joined the 510th Tactical Fighter Squadron in June, 1968 as a fighter pilot stationed at Bien Hoa Air Base, South Vietnam. Fogleman was shot down in 1968 and escaped by clinging to the outside of a AH-1 Cobra helicopter.
He served as an F-4 pilot, instructor pilot and commander of the Laredo forward air controller flight while stationed in Thailand.
In 1976, he was assigned to the 36th Tactical Fighter Wing at Bitburg Air Base, West Germany, as assistant deputy commander for operations where his unit became the first operational F-15 aircraft wing stationed outside the continental United States.
He also amassed 6,800 flying hours in fighter, transport, tanker and rotary wing aircraft, 315 combat missions, and logged 806 hours of combat flying in fighter aircraft.
Fogleman served as Chief of Staff of the United States Air Force. In addition, he taught as an associate professor of history at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Iconic Starfighters: Rival Spacecraft of the Silver Screen is now on view at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force through Dec. 31, 2026! The Foundation is excited to bring these life-size models of iconic movie spacecraft to the Museum.
The exhibit features two realistic, full-scale models created by Firewatch Design Studios. Visitors will enjoy a 360 view of these models!
The spacecraft in Iconic Starfighters: Rival Spacecraft of the Silver Screen are fan-created, and are on loan from COSI. While inspired by Star Wars, this exhibit is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Disney Enterprises Inc., Lucasfilm Ltd. LLC, Lucas Licensing Ltd., Lucas Entertainment Company Ltd. Yesterday, May 21, we came together to recognize our Legacy Data Plate Wall of Honor Panel 22 honorees. A tremendous thank you to all those who joined us for the ceremony and who have chosen to recognize their loved ones with a Data Plate. The ceremony is a meaningful and touching way to begin Memorial Day weekend each year - we are grateful to share it with our donors and friends. ❤️🤍💙
