PRG Bay Area Survivor Celebration 🩵✨🩷

You're invited to PRG's Bay Area Survivor Celebration! This year, we will be celebrating on October 5th between 6-8:30pm at the Los Altos History Museum.

There will be cheers, smiles, hugs, happy tears and all of the magic that happens when so many survivors and caregivers are together. We can’t wait to spend this special night celebrating YOU!

This year’s celebration will look a little different than in years past, as we welcome our generous PRG donors to join us in celebrating YOU and the GOOD they are doing in our community!

Registration is FREE

And each Survivor is welcome to bring one Caregiver, too.

A Gentle Space to Breathe, Restore & Reconnect 🌿

This gentle, restorative session is created to support individuals impacted by ovarian cancer—including patients, survivors, caregivers, and healthcare staff.

Through guided breathwork and the calming vibrations of Himalayan singing bowls, you’ll be invited into a deeply relaxing and nurturing experience. These practices may help ease stress and anxiety, calm the nervous system, support restful sleep, and create a greater sense of comfort, balance, and well-being.

• Introduction & intention setting
• Guided breathwork & sound journey
• Integration & Q&A

No experience is needed. You may comfortably sit or lie down and simply receive the experience.

🧘 Please bring: comfortable clothing and anything that supports your comfort, such as a yoga mat, blanket, cushion, water bottle, or eye pillow.

Sharing Your Diagnosis Without Burning Out

Sharing a cancer diagnosis can feel overwhelming. You may not know what to say, who to tell, or how much you want to share—and that’s okay.

Here are a few reminders to help make sharing your diagnosis feel a little easier:

✨ Share when you’re ready.
✨ Keep it simple—you don’t owe anyone a detailed explanation.
✨ Set boundaries and let others know when you’re not ready to talk.
✨ Ask a trusted friend or family member to help keep loved ones updated.
✨ Have a go-to response for when you don’t have the energy to talk.
✨ Use technology to share updates with multiple people at once.
✨ Give yourself permission to rest and step away when you need to.
✨ Remember: It’s your story. You decide what to share, when to share it, and who gets to hear it.

Most importantly, you don’t have to navigate this journey alone. 💗 Support, resources, and community are available when you’re ready.
