The MVHRA Certification Committee is dedicated to supporting members who are pursuing or maintaining professional HR certifications.

The committee provides information on certification and recertification requirements, promotes professional development opportunities, oversees MVHRA's certification scholarship program, and shares resources to help members prepare for certification exams. πŸ“š

The committee also recognizes members who earn their HR certifications and works to encourage continued professional growth throughout the MVHRA community.

A special thank you to Leigh Oldham, Certification Chair, and Hillary Ramsey, Certification Assistant Chair, for their dedication to supporting the professional growth and success of our members. πŸ‘

Managers make hundreds of employee-related decisions each year, but they shouldn't be left to interpret company policies on their own.

One of HR's most important responsibilities is translating policies into practical guidance that managers can apply consistently. Policies establish the framework, but manager training, communication, and accountability determine whether those policies are implemented as intended. πŸ“š

When managers receive inconsistent guidance, employees receive inconsistent experiences. Investing in manager education helps reduce organizational risk while creating greater consistency, fairness, and confidence across the workplace. 🀝

AI should never replace:
πŸ”Ή Employee relations conversations
πŸ”Ή Performance and disciplinary decisions
πŸ”Ή Workplace investigations
πŸ”Ή Hiring decisions without human review
πŸ”Ή Leadership conversations that require empathy, context, and professional judgment

Technology can improve efficiency, but HR professionals remain responsible for ensuring decisions are fair, consistent, legally compliant, and aligned with organizational values.

AI should support good decision-making, not make those decisions for us. 🀝
