☕ Every cup has a story. This is Pura Vida Beans.
Pura Vida Beans was born from a simple but powerful idea — that a great cup of coffee can be a moment of gratitude, a chance to slow down, and a connection to something bigger than yourself.
Founded by Pablo Mata, a Costa Rican native who grew up picking coffee on family farms, Pura Vida Beans sources directly from the Farmers Project, a collective of small farms in Costa Rica, most of them women owned. Every batch is personally roasted and packed by Pablo in Berkeley, California, certified carbon footprint friendly, and rooted in the communities behind every harvest.
The dream? To reach all eight coffee regions of Costa Rica and share each farmer's story with the world. One cup at a time. 🌿
And on June 7th, Pablo is bringing that story to I-House Davis for an afternoon of farm to cup tasting, live brewing demonstrations, and real connection.
