Won't you join us in "baking a difference?" Nazun (aka Challah for Hunger) is a national organization that brings people together to bake and sell challah, in an effort to raise money and awareness for social justice causes. Our UC Davis chapter is constantly experimenting with creative flavors like chocolate chip, peanut butter-chocolate chip, parsley-sage-rosemary-and-thyme, cinnamon sugar, sun-dried tomato--the possibilities are endless! We donate 50% of the profit to Mazon, and 50% to Yolo Food Bank. For all the volunteers and many of the customers, Challah for Hunger provides opportunities to be involved in a fun and dedicated community, address humanitarian problems, develop and practice new skills like baking and marketing, gain business and leadership experience, and to become involved in advocacy and other forms of activism, and more. Volunteer Wednesdays 10:45am -12:15pm and Thursdays 10:30am - 1pm at the Hillel House (328 A St, Davis)
