There is more work to be done, but the team and volunteers made a MAJOR impact on improving the flooding and pollution around this Aboabo, Kumasi community. We are so proud of everyone’s effort in Re|Routing over 1.5 Metric Tonnes of waste from the river.

We’ll be back again soon, and we can’t wait to see you there👋

Our team was thrilled to be a part of the inaugural “Industry & Postgraduate” Symposium put on by the KNUST Department of Industrial Art!

This 2 day event was an amazing opportunity to connect to both postgraduate & undergraduate students who are at the forefront of sustainable fashion in Ghana. We can’t wait to see what these thought leaders build in the years to come!

Someone breathing in smoke from burning trash, locked into work that requires him to stay.

Someone watching floodwaters rise again as a result of waste-choked streams, destroying homes in his community.

Someone losing income from clothing waste they didn’t create, despite trying to salvage every last bit of value from it.

These are real lives behind a global waste crisis.

Something special happened last week, Re|Root made its US debut at in the ! 🥳

We brought an immersive display with one simple goal: get people “talking trash”.

The conversations we had with attendees and fellow exhibitors from around the globe were awesome. People who believe - like we do - that a circular economy is possible when we collaborate and work toward it together.

This conference reminded us that the passion and intention to see a healthier, more equitable world is out there across different industries, backgrounds, borders... it’s just about bringing all those voices and ideas to the table. Lasting change won’t happen in silos, but rather, it will happen when people who see the world differently choose to build something better - together.

Let’s Get Scrappy! 🧵

We are prepping for the conference in Dallas on April 20-22. We had an awesome time this week working on our SCRAPPY SQUARES for our upcycled backdrop. Although we had a blast, we still need your help!

We need 60 more squares! Do you have old scraps, clothes, etc. that you’d be able to make squares out of? If you are in the Austin, TX area and can sew these scraps into 1ft x 1ft squares, we need them at That’s Sew Austin ASAP! We will then sew them altogether into the backdrop for our expo display.

The latest day we can accept squares is April 14th, so DM us and let us know how many we can count on from you.

Coffee date anyone??

Re|Root is headed to THIS Easter Sunday, April 5th from 12-1 pm!

The first 50 folks to drop off a scrappy square will get a free cup of coffee from ! Be sure to BYOM (Bring Your Own Mug) - help us reduce waste!
