Thank you our able Cat for stepping into that sacred gap of motherhood with passion and dedication. Thank you for allowing the children to stay connected to their friends and Saker Aunties. We promise to work on babysitting in Dallas so you can take a break.

I want to acknowledge on this Mother's Day, a special man, Mr. Anthony Gapngong, beloved husband of our cherished Saker sister, the late Mabel Gapngong.
It has been one year and counting since Mabel passed, and I have watched you step into the sacred gap left by her passing, carrying both fatherhood and motherhood with quiet strength and dogged determination.
You have done everything possible to preserve the beautiful rhythm Mabel created for your children: the routines, the love, the care, the sense of belonging. You minimized your own grief and brought them to the ExSSA USA Convention in Los Angeles barely four months after their mother’s passing so they could continue bonding with other children, just as their mother had done for two years straight.
It was not easy. I saw you juggling the children’s activities, making sure they were ready, making sure they were fed, even bringing cooked food from home, just as their mother would have done.
At the gala, you came forward to donate in Mabel’s name, yet you could not even stay to relax a bit. Duty called. You had to rush back to the hotel room to care for the children.
Yes, one whole year has gone by, and you have done an awesome job. Mabel would be proud. The children look well cared for and always beautifully dressed.
Now I see that you have signed them up again for the 2026 ExSSA USA Carats Convention in Dallas. That is love and legacy laced together. Mabel still lives in the choices you make for her children.
May God continue to grant you strength, wisdom, grace, and provision as you carry this sacred assignment of being both father and mother to them.
Happy Mother’s Day, Tony. Today, we see you.
