Deliver Truth...Where Written Words Can't Go
www.spoken.org We deliver Truth...where written words can’t go.

Because 2/3 of the world’s population are oral learners – most of whom are unreached by the gospel – our approach to ministry is uniquely different. Oral learners do not read as their primary means of sharing and learning; therefore, we deliver Truth the way they understand best – through spoken rather than written words. And while our work focuses on individual lives being transformed, the impact made is far greater, as entire communities are moved to walk in Truth.

When God’s Word was heard in a language he understood, a village chief found renewed faith and hope.🧡 🙌

Chief Adogai, also known as Onda’gye Akwapa (“Chief Elder of the Land”), is the leader of a small Akweya community of about 500 people. Growing up, Chief Adoga was influenced by both traditional beliefs and Christianity. This dual religious upbringing affected his spiritual growth, leaving him with an incomplete understanding of God’s Word and how to faithfully follow the Lord.

When tragedy struck and he lost his son in a devastating accident, Chief Adoga carried a grief so deep that he often wished it had been him instead of his son.
But God met Chief Adoga in the middle of his pain.

During an Oral Bible Translation community checking visit, the Akweya Oral Bible Translation team gathered to share and review Scripture aloud. Chief Adoga happened to be there and listened as God’s Word was spoken in the language he understood best.

The team shared 1 Peter 5:7, "Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you."

For the first time, Scripture was not just something distant — it was now close, and heard in the language he could truly understand. God’s Word spoke directly to his grief and reminded him that he was not alone in his pain.

Through this encounter, Chief Adoga found comfort in the Lord and began placing his full trust in God renewing his faith in the true Living God.

Chief Adoga’s story reminds us that access to God’s Word in the way that speaks to a person's heart, and in the way they understand best, makes a difference. When people can hear and understand Scripture, God’s truth can reach even the deepest places of pain and bring transformation. Praise God that His Word is bringing people to Christ and transforming hearts.

One Bible story changed how one woman saw Jesus.🧡

For the first time, Fatima* is discovering who Jesus truly is.

At 45 years old, she joined a Discovery Bible Study provided by Spoken Worldwide and a women's discipleship group in the Chakali community. Although she had heard Bible stories before, this was the first time she encountered Scripture in a way she could truly understand.

One story especially captured her heart: Jesus and the woman at the well.
As she listened, Fatima realized something she had never fully understood before—that Jesus is God and that He alone offers everlasting life.

She shared:
"Today I want to acknowledge my sin and give my entire life to Jesus Christ in repentance. I need Jesus to give me the Holy Spirit to evangelize and bring people to Him. I know Jesus will not reject me because He didn't reject the Samaritan woman at the well. I believe my life is new, and I am here to serve God with all my heart."

🙌 Praise God that more people are encountering Jesus through His Word in the language and format they understand best.

Please pray for Fatima and the other women in this Discovery Bible Study as they continue to grow in their faith and share the hope of Christ with those around them.🧡

At Spoken, the final translated verse isn't the finish line — it's where transformation begins.🧡

Every translation begins long before it reaches a community. Translators faithfully study, draft, and record Scripture, then work alongside local churches and communities to ensure the Message is accurate, clear, and understood.
Only after this process is complete is the translated Scripture delivered into the hands of the community it was created for.

From there, oral learners encounter God's Word the way they already learn best: by listening, remembering, and sharing. Truth reaches their ears in their own language—something they can hear, understand, live out, and pass on naturally.
But God's Word was never meant to stop with one person.

🤝 Through Oral Discipleship, local leaders are equipped to carry Scripture into their families, churches, and communities so God's Word continues to multiply.
Your partnership helps make this possible.

Together, we can pray for the day that every community, language, and people group has the opportunity to encounter God's Word, grow as disciples, and share the hope of Jesus with others. 🙏 🧡

Just one Bible passage changed his heart.🙌 🧡

When Arnaud, from the Mbola community in Cameroon, listened to Matthew 6:1–15 in his heart language through Spoken's Oral Bible Translation team, one message stayed with him: forgiveness.

As he heard Jesus' words, he realized he had been carrying unforgiveness toward people he had condemned in his heart.

He shared:
"What has touched me deeply is the importance of forgiveness... I have just understood that I need to forgive all those people I had condemned in my heart."
This is the power of God's Word in a language people truly understand. It doesn't simply inform—it invites people to respond as the Holy Spirit works in their hearts.

Before leaving, Arnaud made one simple request:
"Please keep these audio recordings for us."🎧️ 🧡

Praise God that more people are hearing Scripture in their heart language for the very first time. Please pray that as God's Word is heard, lives will continue to be transformed and more people will come to know the hope found in Jesus Christ.

"I will praise God’s name in song and glorify him with thanksgiving."- Psalm 69:30 ❤️ 🙏

Worship doesn't sound the same everywhere—and that's part of its beauty.
Around the world, people worship God through the unique languages, melodies, and rhythms of their own cultures.

When people encounter Scripture in the language and format they understand best, worship is no longer something they observe—it becomes deeply personal.

🌍️ For years, one man in Ethiopia was the only Christian in his family.
He longed for his wife, children, and extended family to know Jesus, but every conversation about his faith ended in rejection.

Then everything changed.

Through Oral Discipleship, local leaders gave him an audio player filled with Scripture in his heart language. He simply played it in his home. As his family listened during the rhythms of everyday life, God's Word began doing what he never could.🙌

One day, they surprised him with a question he had prayed to hear for years:
"Can we go to church with you?"🧡

He didn't have to convince them. God's Word had already softened their hearts.
This is the power of Scripture in a language people can truly understand. It doesn't just reach individuals—it transforms families.

🙏 Please join us in praying for oral learners and their families who are hearing God's Word in their heart language for the very first time. Pray that His Word will continue to draw hearts to Christ and bring lasting transformation.

Let's take a moment to praise God for what He is doing around the world through Oral Bible Translation and Oral Discipleship. 🙌

By His grace, we're grateful to celebrate what He has accomplished through Spoken Worldwide so far this year:

🔶62 active Oral Bible Translation projects
🔶 15 new Oral Bible Translation projects launched this year
🔶 180,000+ verses translated
🔶 475 local leaders equipped through Discovery Bible Studies

Every number represents someone hearing God's Word for the first time. Every translated verse helps bring Scripture to oral communities that have been waiting to encounter it in the language and form they understand best.

This work continues every day as local translators, churches, and Oral Discipleship teams faithfully help make God's Word accessible—with the hope that one day every village, every language, and every person will have the opportunity to hear, understand, and respond to His Word.

Today, we invite you to praise God for what He is doing around the world and join us in prayer for our active Oral Bible Translation projects and Oral Discipleship teams. Pray for wisdom, guidance, and perseverance as they help bring God's Word within reach of the communities they serve. 🧡

For years, Jacob waited for someone to change his life.

No one came.

At 53, the Nigerian farmer had grown used to disappointment. He carried bitterness, self-pity, and the belief that his future depended on someone else stepping in to help.

Then he heard the story of Jesus healing the man at the pool of Bethesda (John 5:1–9) in his own heart language, Vemgo.🎧️

For the first time, Jacob saw himself in the man who had waited for years beside the water, hoping someone would rescue him.

Then God's Word changed everything. "As the room was quiet, I could almost hear the water stirring. I stopped waiting for human help. The oral Scripture taught me that God does not need a 'man' to move on my behalf. He comes directly."🧡

In that moment, Jacob's waiting turned to faith. Through hearing Scripture in the language he understood best, he discovered that God had never forgotten him.

Today, oral Scripture is bringing that same hope to people across Vemgo communities who are hearing God's Word for the very first time.

When you give to Spoken Worldwide, you help bring the hope of Jesus to oral learners who are still waiting to hear. Together, we can ensure more people encounter God's Word in the language of their hearts.

Help bring Scripture to every ear.🎧️ 🧡

🤝 When local leaders embrace God's Word, entire communities are transformed.

For Emmanuel, an Oral Bible Translator with the Chakali team, Oral Bible Translation is about more than recording Scripture. It's about equipping the local Church to lead.

During a recent gathering of translators, consultants, and church leaders, he witnessed something powerful.

"Everybody contributed. I really enjoyed hearing each church leader being encouraged by the translated Scriptures."🧡

These leaders weren't simply reviewing a translation. They were embracing God's Word in their own heart language and preparing to share it with their communities.

That's the power of Oral Bible Translation. It doesn't just produce Scripture—it equips local believers with a lasting resource that strengthens the Church and makes God's Word accessible to oral learners for generations to come.
