Today, as we celebrate Pride Sunday, we ask a simple but important question: How do we move beyond saying "you are welcome here" to living out "you belong here"?
We gather around God's promise in Isaiah: "I have called you by name; you are mine." Before we do anything, prove anything, or earn anything, God claims us in love.
Wherever you are joining us from today, know this: you are beloved, you belong, and there is a place for you in this community. Let us worship together.

Today we celebrated our largest Pride Parade participation ever, and what a gift it was to stand together in the heart of our city. We are blessed to be part of a community that shows up with joy, courage, and love, reminding the world that every person is beloved by God and worthy of belonging.

Looking from the float and seeing Oak Lawn UMC friends stretching nearly an entire city block was incredible. Thank you to everyone who walked, volunteered, cheered, and shared in this beautiful day. Our hearts are full of gratitude—and Pride.

Hoy celebramos nuestra participación más grande hasta ahora en el Desfile del Orgullo, y fue un regalo poder estar juntos en el corazón de nuestra ciudad. Somos bendecidos de formar parte de una comunidad que se presenta con alegría, valentía y amor, recordándole al mundo que cada persona es amada por Dios y merece pertenecer.

Ver desde la carroza a la comunidad de Oak Lawn UMC extendiéndose por casi una cuadra completa fue algo increíble. Gracias a todas las personas que caminaron, sirvieron como voluntarias, animaron desde las aceras y compartieron este hermoso día con nosotros. Nuestros corazones están llenos de gratitud y de Orgullo.
