Leukemia Texas Helping Texans Beat Leukemia through Patient Aid, Research, and Innovation. The program currently serves over 300 children and adults each year.

Leukemia Texas is an independent nonprofit corporation dedicated to fighting the life threatening blood cancer of leukemia through the funding of leukemia research and patient aid in Texas. It is the only organization of its kind that generates revenue in Texas, and stays in Texas! Through its Patient Aid program, LeukemiaTexas provides financial assistance to leukemia patients needing help with their necessary treatment expenses. The LeukemiaTexas Research program awards grants for research to develop new and improved methods of treatment and which may ultimately lead to a cure for leukemia.

We are grateful to share these words from a family who received a Leukemia Texas Patient Aid grant while their child was undergoing cancer treatment.
“Having a child going through cancer treatment brings emotional and financial challenges that can quickly become overwhelming. This assistance gives us one less thing to worry about and allows us to focus more on supporting our child through treatment and keeping our family strong.
We are truly grateful to Leukemia Texas and everyone who makes programs like this possible.”

This weekend, our Leukemia Texas Board of Directors came together for our Annual Meeting—and we’re so grateful for this group of dedicated leaders.

They bring their time, talent, ideas, connections, and heart to the work of helping Texans beat leukemia. We’re proud to have them in our corner and grateful for everything they do to move our mission forward.

Some moments remind us exactly why this work matters.

When a family hears the words, "Your child has leukemia," life changes in an instant. Along with the fear and uncertainty come everyday expenses that don't stop simply because a child is in treatment.

Recently, one family received a Leukemia Texas Patient Aid grant. His mom shared these words with us:
"Your generosity has lifted an incredible weight from our shoulders. Instead of constantly worrying about how we'll manage next month's bills, you've given us the priceless gift of being able to focus more of our time, energy, and attention on what matters most—our son."

Perhaps what touched us most was this:
"Because of your kindness, our family has found hope during one of the darkest chapters of our lives. Thank you for standing beside us, for easing our burden, and for reminding us that we are not walking this journey alone."

We are deeply grateful to this family for allowing us to share a glimpse of their journey.

To everyone who supports Leukemia Texas—whether through a donation, attending an event, volunteering, or sharing our mission—thank you.
