Join us in celebrating Meliza Romero-Bonilla, whose dedication, positive attitude and commitment to keeping children safe have already made an incredible impact in her time with the agency.
Her supervisor shares, “Meliza has been with the agency a little over a year. She has demonstrated a strong professional competence in her first year of tenure. She has a clear understanding of what it means to assess child safety which is reflected in the details and quality of her documentation. She is a team player who is always willing to assist her colleagues and does so with a positive attitude and smile!”
Meliza’s passion for helping others began during college, when her experience as a youth counselor inspired her to pursue work where she could make a difference. She shares, “I was a youth counselor at a juvenile delinquent center in Iowa back in college and since then knew I wanted to make a difference. The certainty that I am able to ensure child safety and keeping the children's best interest in mind keeps me motivated to do such difficult work.”
