Today is World Food Day 🌍
You can see it in their smiles: a warm meal is so much more than food 🩵
For many children in the Hwange District, the plate they get at school may be their only full meal of the day. That one plate gives them the energy to learn and the focus to sit through class. It gives them the strength to play, and the hope to dream beyond their circumstances.
Through our School Feeding Program, we serve nutritious meals to hundreds of learners every school day🍲 Behind every bowl are generous partners and donors, dedicated volunteers, caring cooks and a community that believes no child should have to learn on an empty stomach.
We don’t stop at the plate, though. With solar boreholes, community gardens, climate-smart farming and nutrition education, we’re helping families grow their own food and build a future free from hunger🌱
When we feed a child, we feed a future. And when a community can feed itself, it thrives!
