Throwing it back to this incredible picture from the 2024 translocation from Eldoret to Lake Baringo in Kenya.

Before the journey across, the giraffes waited patiently in a boma at Sergoit Farm, where this photo was taken — getting used to their temporary home and building trust with the team before the next leg of the move to Ruko Conservancy.

Translocations like this are meticulous: every giraffe’s stress levels, health, and safety are monitored closely at every stage. Times like this — quiet, patient, waiting — are just as vital as the move itself.
