Yesterday at 10:00am, the City of Cuyahoga Falls Fire Bell rang in concert with Bells Across America for Fallen Firefighters. This event, sponsored by the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation, takes place annually every May as part of National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Weekend. Having completed our Memorial last fall, we were honored to participate along with hundreds of other fire departments across the country to commemorate the 140 firefighters whose names that were added to the Roll of Honor this year. May we never forget their sacrifice.

🔔 Bells Across America for Fallen Firefighters | May 2–3, 2026 🔔

This weekend, bells will ring from coast to coast in honor of firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice. The Cuyahoga Falls Firefighters Memorial Foundation is proud to stand alongside the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation in this meaningful tradition.
The sound of a bell has always held special meaning in the fire service - summoning members, marking the end of a call, and paying final tribute to those who died in the line of duty.
