Attention 8th Grade Parents:

We will have 8th grade yard signs available for purchase for $15.
Orders are due by Wednesday, April 22nd .

You can order a sign by one of two ways:
1. Purchase via the Paypal link below. Make sure to put your student’s name and your phone number on the notes section.

2. Send in cash or check (payable to Taft PTO) and note with your student’s name.

The signs will be picked up after school at a specific time during the end of April.. We will send out the pickup date and time once we set the time. Students that are car riders may pick up their signs at the end of the day during that week. They can’t be sent home with the students on the bus due to the metal posts. If you can’t pick it up at the after-school time slot, they will be able to be picked up later that week from the school office during the school day.

We are looking for Crown Point High School students to help us with our annual Beach Bash which will be held at Taft Middle School on April 29th from 3:00-5:00. Beach Bash will be on Wednesday, April 29th from 3-5 pm. It is a big fun fair for our students. We will have games with prizes, food, DJ, Photo booth, tug of war competition, pie in the face for 3 lucky teachers/staff, bean bags, ladder toss, ping pong, basketball, Jail to put friends and teachers in. Food and games with prizes cost extra. This event is only for Taft students.

Entry cost is $5. Most food and all games will be $1. There is a Mega Pass for $25 which will include entry and unlimited games (with exception of jail- in and out). Tickets for food will still need to be purchased. However, if you purchase the Mega Pass by midnight on Monday 4/20, you will get $5 of tickets that can be used for food. You can purchase the Mega Pass or $5 regular admission ticket up to and including at the door of the event. The later purchase (after 4/20) of Mega pass will just not include the bonus $5 of food. Game and food tickets will be the same type of ticket and cost $1 each.

You can purchase the Mega Pass or regular admission by sending in cash or check (made payable to Taft PTO) with your student's name attached or via PayPal.

Please Help Our Furry Friends

Taft Builders Club is collecting donations to support the Lake County Animal Shelter and help care for animals in need during the busy spring season when many kittens and puppies are born and require assistance.

Taft Builders Club is accepting donations for the Lake County Animal Shelter.

Donations will be collected March 16 through March 20.

Donations should be delivered to Mrs. Watroba’s room D10.

Spring is a time when Lake County Animal Control becomes overwhelmed with kittens and puppies that are born and need help.

The organization helps animals that are lonely, abandoned, cold, afraid, or lost.

The Builders Club is organizing the drive to help support the shelter’s work.

Items needed include dog food, dog treats, kitten formula, bottles for feeding kittens, cat treats, peanut butter, Kongs, tennis balls, squeaky toys, rope toys, cat or dog beds, blankets, kitty litter, food bowls, paper towels, trash bags, laundry detergent, bleach, blankets, sheets, old pillows, old fur coats, and leashes.

Happy Holidays! Our school Angel Tree still has several items left and we are trying to make sure that all of our students are taken care of. If anyone wants to spread a little extra love this year and are able to help out by purchasing a gift or two, it would be so appreciated! Please have all gifts dropped off by Monday, December 15th to Taft Middle School. You can have items shipped straight to Taft if you order online.
