Attention Fowler Court residents,

A wonderful friend of mine and a supporter of Fowler Court, has an abundance of squash and cucumbers.

She’s brought vegetables there before and will bringing some in the next few days and leaving them in the laundromat.

I’ll put the word out when I know for sure when she’s coming.

While bringing Ms. Ginny and her great grand daughter ice cream the other day, Max walked with me. We stood at the door...

While bringing Ms. Ginny and her great grand daughter ice cream the other day, Max walked with me. We stood at the door and I caught up on her health battles. She had to go on dialysis almost two years ago and is really weak and down about her health.

As we were saying our goodbyes, baby Max looked up to her and said, “I love you.” Tears welled up in her eyes as she told him she loved him, too. He’s 2 and a half years old turning people’s days right around and he has no idea what those kind, loving words did for mine and Ms. Ginny’s hearts.

It starts at home. These babies hear “I love you” all the time. Whenever Mason leaves a room I’m in or leaves my room, he always says “I love you. Just knock on the wall if you need me.”

How are you speaking to your children? Do your kids hear I love you enough? Do they overhear constant negative conversations or do they hear positive conversation.

These babies are gonna be choosing our nursing homes or in my hope, letting Nanny move in. What kind of person do you want them to grow up to be ? Do you want them to love others or hate others?

Last night I was on the phone with one of our Fowler Ct senior friends and she brought up the little flash lights they were given in their cold snap/ice/blizzard bags earlier this year.

I bought them in bulk so there was enough to give each senior two of them. They also came with batteries. I don’t know if the lights went out that season or not but she’s still talking about how much she loves and appreciates them. She said she keeps one by her bed so she doesn’t have to turn the light on to go to the bathroom.

It’s the little things y’all. A little flashlight, a gift that to them that was paid for by strangers that consider them friends. “Such a blessing” as my precious friend described her flashlights.

Here, all these months later, your compassion, generosity and thoughtfulness, is still shining a light for these seniors to see.

You are the reason that Lovelight Charities’s founding Scripture is still at work today….
Matthew 5:16 In the same way, let your light so shine before others that they may see your good deeds and GLORIFY YOUR FATHER IN HEAVEN.
