Join us for our March Movie Night, Saturday, March 24, 2012 at Fielding Gallery, 525 Boston Street in downtown Covington, LA as we pay tribute to the life and music of the early female blues singers such as Bessie Smith, Ma Rainey and others. The program will begin with a mini-concert of "blues" music with Don Vappie and Mike Esneault with special guest, Topsy Chapman, followed by the documentary "Wild Women Don't Have the Blues." The show begins at 6:30 p.m. with doors opening at 6. It is $15 at the door and food and beverages are available for purchase. Seating is limited, so come early. You are welcome to bring your own chair and dancing is encouraged!

Thanks to everyone who attended the Tribute to Django Reinhardt concert/movie night. We had a packed house and it was a great success!! Join us for our January Movie Night, as we pay tribute to the life and music of Django Reinhardt and his contribution to the world of jazz and swing. The celebration will be held at Fielding Gallery at 525 Boston Street in downtown Covington, LA on Saturday, January 28 beginning at 6:30 p.m. with doors opening at 6. It is $15 at the door and food and beverages are available for purchase. Seating is limited, so come early - bringing your "Chair in a bag" is welcomed. The program will begin with a special performance by Raphael Bas, Matt Rhody and Don Vappie as they pay tribute to his music and dancing is encouraged! Following the performance will be a documentary of Reinhardt's life.

Our musical Director, Don Vappie, will be at the Pontchartrain Vineyard with a "killer" band tonight, October 15, 6:30 p.m. - He is playing bass with world-renowned musicians, Carlos Malta, Thomas Clausen and Celia Malheiros! Come out and join them!

Thanks to everyone for coming to the Louisiana Swing concert on Saturday. It was great to see everyone dancing, enjoying Abita Quail Farm food and Heiner Brau beer, but especially enjoying the FANTASTIC music ringing through Abita Town Hall. Many thanks to BeauSoleil avec Michael Doucet and Don Vappie and the Louisiana Swing Band!
