We will *always* take sensory play seriously at Learning Grove.

Sensory play supports children as they build language, strengthen motor skills, test ideas and learn how their bodies respond to the world around them.

These small moments can also help children slow down, focus and feel more regulated.

You bet it can get messy, and that's okay! The spills and sticky hands are part of freely exploring and learning.

We also send a special shoutout to our teachers, who choose materials with purpose, guide each discovery and welcome the mess as part of the magic. 🌱

We mean it when we say we create homelike environments.

Every element in our classrooms is chosen with care: warm furnishings, natural textures, beautiful details, child-sized spaces and open-ended materials that invite children to explore. We provide room for active, joyful play and learning as well as soft, peaceful places where a child can step away from the group, look at a book or simply be quiet.

Beauty in a learning environment conveys worth. Our thoughtful spaces tell every child who enters: You are valued. You belong here.

Happy back to school season! Thank you to our good friends and partners at Educate NKY for organizing another wonderful year of volunteering for Start of School Assistance (SOSA). A few of us were able to join the fun at Covington Independent Public Schools John G. Carlisle Elementary. Go Cubs! We hope everyone has a wonderful school year.

Last week, we gathered with early childhood leaders from across our region for a powerful day of learning with nationally recognized expert Dan Wuori.

Dan brought early brain development to life and sparked many inspirations, and we’re deeply grateful to him for sharing his expertise, energy and passion with our community.

This experience was made possible by Greater Cincinnati Foundation and the Charles H. Dater Foundation, and their generous investment allowed us to extend the learning beyond Learning Grove. Many thanks, too, to United Way of Greater Cincinnati for opening up your space in support and partnership. We couldn’t think of a better convening space than with our region’s strongest community convener.

Raising the bar for early learning isn’t work any one organization can do alone; when we learn together, we deliver even brighter beginnings for children and families throughout our community.

The Cincinnati Center City Development Corporation (3CDC), in partnership with the , today announced operational updates for the highly anticipated Findlay Community Hub () in North Over-the-Rhine (OTR). Construction on the facility is now 75% complete, keeping the project on schedule to open its doors to the public in January 2027. Ahead of the grand opening, 3CDC has finalized agreements with two premier regional institutions to guide the facility’s programming and daily operations: TriHealth and Learning Grove.

The $48 million, 60,000 square-foot community center and 8,400 square-foot early learning childcare center are a crucial investment north of Liberty Street. 3CDC will maintain oversight of the City owned facility, working with both operators to ensure a seamless, best-in-class environment that delivers high-quality amenities to all neighborhood residents.

"The Findlay Community Hub was designed from the beginning to be a transformative space that addresses the needs and wants of the OTR" said Christy Samad, EVP of Civic and Commercial Activation at 3CDC. "By pairing TriHealth’s health management expertise with Learning Grove’s stellar reputation for early childhood education, we are fulfilling our promise to deliver exceptional programming. 3CDC is proud to stand alongside these two operators to ensure this space is safe, high-quality, and accessible to all."

To ensure the facility’s mission of equitable access, membership plans will be modeled after ’s successful "Everybody In" initiative. The Hub will feature an income-based sliding scale to guarantee that every resident, regardless of socioeconomic background, enjoys full access to the Hub’s facilities.
