One of the greatest things about Leadership Harrison County is seeing community members come together to create projects that make a real and lasting impact.

The Class of 2026 selected to install Picture Communication Boards in parks around the county as their class project, helping support a space that encourages inclusion, communication, and play for families across Harrison County. This project represents what leadership is all about, identifying a community need and working together to make something meaningful happen.

Weโ€™re proud of Amber Lemmon and the entire Class of 2026 for the work theyโ€™ve put into this project and the positive impact it will continue to have for years to come.

LHC Alum, Janelle Thomas, shares about her Leadership experience:

Leadership Harrison County truly had a lasting impact on my personal and professional journey. The program allowed me to ๐›๐ฎ๐ข๐ฅ๐ ๐ฆ๐ž๐š๐ง๐ข๐ง๐ ๐Ÿ๐ฎ๐ฅ ๐ซ๐ž๐ฅ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐ฌ๐ก๐ข๐ฉ๐ฌ, ๐ ๐š๐ข๐ง ๐ž๐ฑ๐ฉ๐จ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ž ๐ญ๐จ ๐š๐ซ๐ž๐š๐ฌ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐œ๐จ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ง๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ I might not otherwise have experienced, and ๐๐ž๐ฏ๐ž๐ฅ๐จ๐ฉ ๐ฌ๐ค๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฌ that continue to shape the way I lead today.

I am fortunate to serve my community as the ๐„๐ฑ๐ž๐œ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐ž ๐ƒ๐ข๐ซ๐ž๐œ๐ญ๐จ๐ซ of the Chamber of Commerce of Harrison County, and as part of Main Street Corydon and the Harrison County Hospital Foundation. The skills I acquired through Leadership helped me ๐ ๐ซ๐จ๐ฐ ๐š๐ฌ ๐š๐ง ๐ข๐ง๐๐ข๐ฏ๐ข๐๐ฎ๐š๐ฅ and ๐›๐ž๐œ๐จ๐ฆ๐ž ๐ฆ๐จ๐ซ๐ž ๐ข๐ง๐ญ๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐š๐ฅ about how I can best serve my community.

One of the greatest gifts Leadership gave me was a deeper understanding of the ๐ข๐ฆ๐ฉ๐จ๐ซ๐ญ๐š๐ง๐œ๐ž ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐œ๐จ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ง๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐œ๐จ๐ง๐ง๐ž๐œ๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐š๐ง๐ ๐ข๐ง๐ฏ๐ž๐ฌ๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ข๐ง ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐ฉ๐ž๐จ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐ž ๐š๐ซ๐จ๐ฎ๐ง๐ ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ.
