Comfort House Child Advocacy Center serves children who are victims of sexual abuse across Harrison, Floyd, and Clark counties, providing a safe, neutral space for forensic interviews, coordinating with law enforcement and child protective services, and supporting families through one of the most difficult experiences imaginable.
Our mission is simple and urgent: to serve victims of child sexual abuse through coordinated intervention, and to end the cycle of abuse through education.
We are growing, and our board is growing with us. We are actively seeking engaged community members who want to make a real difference for the most vulnerable children in our region.
We are especially looking for people with backgrounds in:
- Accounting or finance
- Law
- Marketing, web design or communications
- Fundraising or nonprofit development
We are also welcoming volunteers who want to contribute to our fundraising and awareness committees without joining the board full-time.
If you care about protecting children in our community and want to put your skills to work for a mission that matters, Comfort House would love to chat with you!
Please reach out to Lindsey Bussabarger, Board President, at ๐ฅ๐ข๐ง๐๐ฌ๐๐ฒ๐๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฌ๐๐๐๐ซ๐ ๐๐ซ@๐ฒ๐๐ก๐จ๐จ.๐๐จ๐ฆ to learn more.
