Thank you to our Harrison County community for bringing this project to life. We couldn’t have done it without the generosity of neighbors who truly care enough for one another to help make our parks inclusive for all communication levels.

All 5 communication boards are now installed in our Harrison County Parks:
📍 Hayswood Possibilities Playground
📍 Gresham Park
📍 Buffalo Trace
📍 Rhoads Pool
📍 South Harrison Park

We’re grateful to be part of a community that shows up for each other in such meaningful ways.

Our Leadership Harrison County class had the chance to stop by Hayswood Nature Reserve today to celebrate the installation of our class project—communication boards for all Harrison County Parks!

It was such a meaningful moment to see this project come to life and know it will help make our parks more accessible and inclusive for everyone.

And of course… we had a little fun while we were there too

Today we celebrate World Autism Day and the power of inclusion!

Because every little voice deserves to be heard and every child deserves to feel included, confident, and part of our community. We’re honored to be part of a project bringing communication boards to our local parks. Communication boards help give every child a voice, creating spaces where everyone can connect, play, and belong.

The Leadership Harrison County Class of 2026 is proud to support a more inclusive future for our community—one park at a time.

💙 This community is amazing. 💙

Harrison County continues to show up — speaking up for those who need help communicating and helping make our parks more inclusive for all.

We’re in the final push with just $1,200 left to fully fund this project. These final dollars will allow us to purchase and install picture communication boards and establish an endowment for long-term upkeep and future expansion in our county parks.

Harrison County, we are truly grateful for your generosity and support.

If you haven’t had a chance to give yet, would you consider making a gift today and help us cross the finish line?
