👕 Another Wednesday at Loads of Dignity!

Everything is ready and waiting for our guests from clean laundry to new socks, underwear and shirts, hygiene items, kids’ activities, a hot cup of coffee, snacks, and even a little stress relief.

Sometimes dignity is found in the simplest things: clean clothes, a warm welcome, and knowing someone cares.👖

We’re grateful to be here, doing what we love... restoring dignity, one load at a time. 🧺

Some of our neighbors may have limited access to a full kitchen, refrigeration, cookware, or even a can opener—so foods that are easy to store and easy to prepare can be especially helpful!

🥫 Look for shelf-stable foods with long expiration dates.

✨ Easy-open or pop-top packaging can make a big difference.

🍴 Foods that can be eaten as-is or prepared with just a microwave are especially useful.

💛 And whenever you can, choose foods you’d be happy to eat yourself.

One or two extra items during your grocery run really do help. It all adds up when a whole community pitches in!

67 people now have clean clothes. 👖

Today was a busy day at Loads of Dignity! 26 guests came in to do laundry for themselves, their families, and their households.👕

When we added up everyone those loads of laundry were for, 67 people now have clean clothes.🧦

That’s what one day at Loads of Dignity looks like and why every load matters.

Restoring dignity, one load at a time.

What a difference a donation can make!

Yesterday, we were able to share Bombas shirts and underwear with our Loads of Dignity guests, including items for the children in the families we serve. These may seem like simple everyday necessities, but for someone struggling to make ends meet, having something brand-new that is truly theirs can mean so much. 👕

We are incredibly grateful to Bombas for helping us continue what we set out to do every day—restore dignity, one load (and one act of kindness) at a time. 👖

Seeing my vision for Loads of Dignity reflected through the experience of one of our guests means more to me than I can say.

In her words:

“The first time I came to Loads of Dignity, I sat in my car trying to work up the courage to walk inside. There were so many cars, and I was nervous, but my family needed clean clothes. When I finally walked in, I was welcomed and shown around. Stefani showed me the machines and explained how everything worked. She showed me the coffee station and let me know that while we waited, we were welcome to make ourselves coffee or hot chocolate and have snacks.

I remember feeling such relief when I realized I had forgotten my laundry detergent and was told not to worry because everything we needed to wash our clothes was provided.

We were also offered hygiene bags for the adults and what I call entertainment bags (which they truly were) for the kids, bags filled with activities and little things to help keep them busy while we waited for the laundry. It felt like they had thought about more than just our clothes. They had thought about making the time we spent there a little easier for our whole family.

But what stayed with me most was how I was treated. I never felt like I was asking for a handout or receiving charity. I didn't feel embarrassed or like I had to explain why I needed help. I was welcomed and treated like any other person who had walked into a laundromat to do their family's laundry.

I came in carrying a lot of stress and uncertainty. I left with clean clothes, warm blankets, and a weight lifted from my shoulders.

It wasn't just the laundry. It was the welcome, the little things that had been thought of, and the feeling that I wasn't being judged or looked at differently because I needed some help. I was simply treated like a person, and that meant more than I can explain.”

Thank you so much, Bitterroot Secret Garden Tour!

We are incredibly grateful to the Bitterroot Secret Garden for their generous $10,000 donation to Loads of Dignity!

To the gardeners who opened their beautiful gardens and to everyone who gave their time, purchased tickets, volunteered, and helped make this year's Secret Garden Tour possible...thank you.

This gift means so much more than a number on a check. It means loads of laundry washed and dried for individuals and families who may otherwise have to go without. It means laundry supplies, hygiene items, and a welcoming place where our guests are treated with kindness, respect, and dignity.
Because of your generosity, we can continue doing exactly what Loads of Dignity was created to do:
Restoring dignity, one load at a time.

From all of us at Loads of Dignity, thank you for believing in our mission and helping us continue serving our community.

MEET THE BOARD | LIZ GIBNEY, PRESIDENT

Behind every strong nonprofit is a board that believes deeply in its mission — and Loads of Dignity is incredibly fortunate to have Liz Gibney helping lead ours.

Liz brings more than 30 years of nonprofit experience to LOD, including several years running her own nonprofit dedicated to supporting and benefiting children in foster care. That depth of experience has given Liz not only a wealth of knowledge, but a genuine understanding of what it takes to serve people, strengthen a community, and turn compassion into meaningful action.

Liz chose to serve on the Loads of Dignity Board because she believes deeply in our mission and in the importance of hands-on work that makes a difference in the lives of those in our community.

But there is much more to Liz than her impressive nonprofit background.

Originally from Colorado, Liz shares her busy life with her husband, Mike, their two dogs and two cats. She returns home to Colorado whenever she can to spend time with family and friends. And when she finds a little downtime, you'll likely find her working on a puzzle, baking something delicious, or happily disappearing into a true-crime documentary.

Liz brings experience, perspective, compassion, and an unmistakable commitment to service to Loads of Dignity — qualities that make her an incredible asset to our organization and the community we serve.

We are truly proud to introduce Liz Gibney, President of the Loads of Dignity Board of Directors.

Exciting news at Loads of Dignity!

We recently received a generous donation from Bombas of brand-new underwear, boxers, and T-shirts! These essential items will be distributed to our guests at Loads of Dignity, as well as Bitterroot Valley students experiencing financial hardship.

We're also proud to introduce the dedicated members of the Loads of Dignity Board of Directors. Their leadership, compassion, and commitment help guide our mission as we continue restoring dignity—one load at a time.

A heartfelt thank you to Bombas for helping us care for our community, and thank you to everyone who supports Loads of Dignity. ❤️
