Bitterroot Gives 2026 -

What a wonderful ski season we had in spite of the lack of snow in the Valley!  Thanks to all of our Groomers, Volunteers, and People Like You who help to make it all happen!  We are already working hard to ensure next year's ski season is just as great, if not better!

Put the place to bed for the summer today.

The Chief Joe elves got all of the benches in, emergency sleds rounded up, signs down and then went for a good tour over on the Anderson side of the Pass.

The snow is better over there, just have to hit it mid day for good skiing. Get there too early and its hairball ice skiing, get there in the late afternoon and its bottomless slush but between 11 and 2 it's really nice skiing.

Despite the lack of winter, we had it pretty good compared to every other Nordic area in the region, we sure are lucky to have this place!

Ski trails at Chief Joseph Pass were not groomed today. It snowed around a foot today, with the same in the forecast for the next few days, so even if the trails were groomed, you wouldn’t be able to tell.

We would like to extend a huge thank you to Ravalli Electric Co-op and their Power of Change program for supporting our youth cross-country ski clinic in February! Thanks to their generosity, we were able to purchase cross-country ski gear that allows us to offer free rentals to youth participants, removing barriers and getting more kids out on snow. Thank you for helping power the next generation of skiers! Stay tuned for next years clinic.🙌❄️
