Fifteen Corvallis artists will open up their home studios to the community for the 4th Annual Northside Open Studio Tour (NOST). Saturday April 18th and Sunday, April 19th, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This free event will feature more than 40 local artists and one studio with youth artists to celebrate spring and community connection through art.
The 4th Annual NOST is a grassroots artist led effort, encouraging visitors to explore
home studios during the two-day event. North Corvallis artists will be sharing and selling
their works and inviting conversations about their creative practice and spaces.
“As an artist, I’m committed to co-creating the type of world I want to live in. I love using
my art and vision to help bring more beauty, meaning, connection and security to everyone in our community.” - Avie Meadows, co-organizer of NOST.
As part of their ongoing dedication to the community, NOST has raised over $7,000 for local non-profits in the last two years. This year artists look forward to expanding awareness and funds for three non-profits; Vina Moses, the Corvallis Environmental Center, and a Ten Rivers Food Web grant which will help OSU students with food insecurity. A percentage of each artist's sales will go directly to these organizations.
“We are excited to welcome Spring by sharing art with this amazing Corvallis community,” said local multimedia artist and jewelry maker Pam Pniak Thompson.
The event is free to all and all proceeds go to living local artists. More information is available at www.NOST-art.com.
