It’s so good to work with people who share our belief that local food is better for health, community and down right tastes better! Honeybrine has been a avid supporter of the Mid-Valley Food Hub since the beginning, so know that when you order their prepared meals, you’re supporting Ten Rivers Food Web and local food systems.

Honeybrine makes eating local easy with their prepared meals. Visit their website to scroll their seasonal menu and place orders over the wkd for Tuesday pickup. Our favorite is the Kitchen Sink Salad. The pickled beets are to-die-for.

Meet the face behind the farm! 🌱

This is Inder Singh of Ruby G —a certified organic, family-owned and operated 20-acre farm in Corvallis growing more than 100 varieties of high-quality organic fruits, vegetables, and herbs for our local community.

Riverland is led by three brothers-in-law—Tal, Inder, and Tyler—who are committed to organic farming and providing the very best food for their families and the communities they serve. Tal and Inder come from a long line of farmers, with more than four generations of family farming rooted in Punjab, in northwest India. For them, farming is more than a livelihood—it’s a legacy, a source of pride, and a way to nourish their community.

Today, Riverland Family Farms is one of more than 10 local producers partnering with the
to help bring fresh, locally grown food into schools, universities, catering services, and other institutions.

Every meal starts with a farmer. 💚 If you love food, thank your farmer!

Some cool collaborations and community impact are happening over here at 🫛🌱😁

Thanks to a grant from Benton County Foundation
a local food pantry is able to source locally grown, premium foods like these gorgeous scallions while staying within their existing food budget. We all know local, organic food costs more, so we wrote a grant to subsidize the increased cost so their food pantry budget can not only feed our neighbors good food, but also support local farms like Gathering Together Farm Ejido Oso Ruby G Sunbow Produce Sunset Valley Organics Freddy Guys Hazelnuts I Oregon and more. It’s a three-way win for our community: support local farms, nourish our community, and build a more connected, resilient food system. Thank you Benton County Foundation !!!

The Mid-Valley Food Hub aggregates local food from 10 area small farms so institutions and restaurants like Sarah Booth can more easily get a wide variety of local products in one order.

Have you tasted their savory crepes? Omg the turkey avocado and the shiitake mushroom will rock your world. 🤤 They know local food tastes better because it’s grown here and picked fresh. Thank you Sarah Booth for being a great local food partner! ❤️🌱❤️

Love, love, love the book “Alice Waters and the Trip to Delicious” by Jacqueline Briggs Martin and illustrated by Hayelim Choi. I was reading it to my kids and realized this is what creating resilient local food systems is all about! The biography shares about her journey to founding Chez Panisse, and how she then went on to work diligently to get good food into schools and create school gardens. What an inspiration!

Here at Mid-Valley food hub we are working to get local, freshly picked food from farm to institution, and schools are >50% of our customers. This week we sent hundreds of just picked Oregon berries to Philomath Schools!!! 🍓

Last week, we dropped off curated local food sample boxes to key prospective buyers—including head chefs at one of Corvallis’ largest institutions. 🌱
Our goal? Create more opportunities for small, local farms to thrive.
We know institutional purchasing can be a tough space to break into. Sourcing consistent, high-volume local food isn’t easy—but that’s exactly where the Mid-Valley Food Hub comes in.
With one order, one invoice, and one delivery, we make it simple for large buyers to source from many local farms at once. Supporting local food systems shouldn’t be complicated—and now, it doesn’t have to be.
